Kohl’s has promoted Arianne Parisi to Chief Customer Officer, expanding her leadership remit beyond digital as the retailer brings marketing and digital together under one executive role.
Parisi joined Kohl’s in 2025 as Chief Digital Officer and has now taken on the newly created position, reporting to CEO Michael J. Bender.
The move places the customer experience at the center of a broader leadership mandate spanning the ways customers discover, shop, engage with and return to the Kohl’s brand.
Bringing marketing and digital together
As Chief Customer Officer, Parisi will oversee a broad set of customer-facing functions, including marketing, brand and creative, loyalty, personalization, media and digital commerce across Kohls.com and the Kohl’s App.
The organizational change is designed to create a more connected view of the customer lifecycle, bringing functions that influence different stages of the shopping journey under one leadership structure.
For Kohl’s, the approach reflects the growing overlap between brand experience, digital engagement, loyalty and commerce in modern retail.
A broader customer experience mandate
Parisi’s remit extends beyond the digital channel she previously led.
Her focus will include strengthening the full customer lifecycle and modernizing the omnichannel experience, with greater connection between Kohl’s brand promise and the ways customers discover products, shop and engage with the retailer.
The role also gives Parisi responsibility for connecting customer-facing teams around evolving expectations across physical and digital retail.
Two decades of retail experience
Parisi brings more than 20 years of retail experience to the role.
Before joining Kohl’s, she served as Global Chief Digital Officer at JD Sports Fashion, following digital leadership roles at The Finish Line and Nordstrom. Earlier in her career, she held merchandising roles at The Sports Authority.
That combination of digital, merchandising and omnichannel experience provides a foundation for her expanded customer leadership role at Kohl’s.
Connecting customer touchpoints
Kohl’s serves millions of families through more than 1,100 stores across 49 states, as well as Kohls.com and its mobile app.
Against that scale, connecting customer experiences across channels becomes an important part of the retailer’s broader operating model.
Parisi’s new role is intended to create greater alignment across marketing, digital, loyalty, media and commerce, with the customer journey serving as the common thread.
The next chapter for Kohl’s customer experience
Parisi said the opportunity is to bring the company’s brand, digital experience, loyalty and marketing together in a more connected way as customer expectations continue to evolve.
Her appointment marks a broader shift in how Kohl’s is organizing customer-facing capabilities, placing a wider set of functions under a single Chief Customer Officer role.
With Parisi now leading that mandate, Kohl’s is positioning customer experience as a connected discipline spanning brand, engagement and commerce.
