Carolyn Cox has announced that she has joined Docusign as Vice President, Enterprise & Global Field Marketing, taking on responsibility for marketing initiatives designed to accelerate growth, strengthen customer engagement and support revenue generation across enterprise segments and international markets.

Her remit spans go-to-market strategy, account-based marketing, executive engagement and integrated campaigns. The role also involves closer alignment between sales and marketing teams, with an emphasis on generating qualified pipeline, expanding strategic accounts and improving customer lifetime value.

Carolyn's appointment comes as enterprise technology companies look to make marketing programmes more measurable and closely connected to commercial outcomes. For global organisations, this means coordinating campaigns across markets while maintaining a consistent approach to customer engagement and sales execution.

At Docusign, Carolyn will focus on building integrated marketing programmes that support adoption of the company's Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform, which extends its agreement capabilities through connected workflows, data and AI.

Experience across enterprise technology marketing

Carolyn brings experience spanning demand generation, field marketing, partner marketing and enterprise marketing across the technology sector.

Before the reported move to Docusign, she held senior marketing leadership positions at ServiceNow, including roles focused on global demand generation and field marketing. Her work there involved developing marketing strategy and campaigns to support business growth across enterprise markets.

Her earlier career includes serving as Vice President of Enterprise Marketing at Bitdefender and Senior Director of Customer Acquisition and Partner Marketing at MobileIron. She has also held marketing responsibilities at VMware, adding experience in channel and partner-led technology marketing to her background.

These roles have given Carolyn exposure to different parts of the enterprise technology marketing landscape, from customer acquisition and partner engagement to field programmes and global demand generation.

That experience is relevant to a role where marketing performance depends on connecting central strategy with regional execution, account priorities and sales opportunities.

Connecting field marketing with revenue growth

Enterprise field marketing increasingly involves more than regional events and campaign delivery. Marketing leaders must connect account intelligence, executive engagement, partner activity and personalised campaigns to the opportunities sales teams are pursuing.

Carolyn's stated priorities at Docusign reflect this integrated approach. Her focus includes improving sales and marketing alignment, optimising marketing investment and using data-driven methods to measure performance across enterprise segments and global markets.

Account-based marketing and executive engagement can help organisations build stronger relationships with priority accounts, while coordinated campaigns create more consistent interactions across the buying journey.

The challenge is to ensure these activities translate into measurable commercial outcomes, including pipeline contribution, account expansion and sustained customer value.

Supporting Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management strategy

Docusign has been expanding its positioning beyond electronic signatures towards Intelligent Agreement Management, bringing agreement processes, data and AI-enabled capabilities together.

The opportunity extends across how organisations prepare, negotiate, sign, manage and analyse agreements. As businesses seek to reduce friction across these processes, marketing plays a role in explaining the wider value of the platform to different enterprise stakeholders.

Carolyn's background in enterprise and demand marketing provides relevant experience for communicating that value across markets, supporting customer engagement and coordinating programmes that connect product capabilities with business needs.

Her new role places enterprise and global field marketing at the intersection of growth strategy, customer relationships and platform adoption.

A focus on integrated, data-driven marketing

Carolyn has also highlighted the importance of personalised, AI-enabled marketing strategies, optimising investment and working across sales, partnerships and marketing.

For enterprise technology companies, this approach reflects a broader shift towards marketing operations that combine customer insight with coordinated execution. The aim is to deliver more relevant engagement while improving visibility into how marketing activity contributes to revenue.

At Docusign, the opportunity will be to bring these elements together across enterprise accounts and international markets, supporting the company's next phase of growth and the wider adoption of Intelligent Agreement Management.
