The Walt Disney Company has named Joss Hastings as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Disney Consumer Products, placing her at the helm of the division's global marketing strategy as the business enters a significant new phase.
Hastings shared the appointment on LinkedIn, thanking Asad Ayaz and Lisa Baldzicki for the opportunity and describing the role as one she has been working toward throughout her career. She joins the role at a pivotal moment as Disney Consumer Products transitions from Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment Studios, bringing its consumer products business closer to the company's studio and content operations.
Leading Global Marketing for Consumer Products
As SVP, Marketing, Disney Consumer Products, Hastings will lead the division's global marketing organization, working across teams to grow the business, strengthen Disney's brands and deepen connections with consumers worldwide.
Her remit will span marketing across regions while partnering closely with Disney's franchise, Studio and broader business teams. The role is designed to bring greater alignment between consumer products marketing and the company's content and creative ecosystem as Disney continues evolving how its stories and franchises reach audiences beyond the screen.
A Career Built Across Disney's Brands and Audiences
Hastings brings nearly two decades of experience at Disney, with a career spanning consumer products, television, digital, music, parks and gaming.
Most recently, she led Disney's global Formula 1 partnership, developing activations around Mickey & Friends and expanding the partnership into F1 Academy. She also led Disney's collaboration with Vogue for the company's 100th anniversary, bringing together designers from around the world to reinterpret Mickey Mouse through different creative lenses.
Her previous work includes global campaigns such as Disney100, Dream Big, Princess and Force Friday, alongside collaborations with brands including LEGO, lululemon, Gucci, Coperni and Charlotte Tilbury.
She also previously helped build Disney Consumer Products' dedicated marketing organization in EMEA, giving her direct experience across global, regional and local consumer products markets.
Marketing at a New Inflection Point
Hastings' appointment comes as Disney Consumer Products prepares for its transition into the Disney Entertainment Studios structure. The move is intended to create closer alignment between consumer products, Disney's creative studios and content development, with the potential to strengthen merchandise and licensing opportunities around the company's global franchises.
The broader shift also follows Disney's creation of an enterprise-wide marketing organization under Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, designed to create greater connectivity across Disney's marketing teams and businesses.
Looking Ahead
With Hastings leading marketing, Disney Consumer Products enters its next chapter with a marketer who combines deep institutional knowledge of Disney's brands with experience turning creative partnerships and cultural moments into global campaigns.
Her focus will be on connecting Disney's franchises with consumers through products, experiences and campaigns while supporting the continued evolution of the business as it moves closer to the company's Studios organization.
