Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing an experienced marketing and technology leader into a global role as the company continues to position AI and reinvention at the center of its growth strategy.

Emma will join Accenture on October 1, taking responsibility for the company's global marketing and communications. She joins from Workday, where she most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer.

Her appointment adds more than three decades of experience across marketing, technology, brand building and enterprise growth to Accenture's leadership team.

From Workday to Accenture

Emma's career spans senior marketing leadership positions across some of the world's leading technology companies.

Before joining Accenture, she served as CMO of Workday. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Salesforce, Adobe and McAfee, building experience across enterprise software, cloud, cybersecurity and digital technology.

Her career has placed her at the intersection of technology and marketing, particularly as enterprise technology has evolved from traditional software and infrastructure toward cloud, data and AI.

Leading global marketing and communications

At Accenture, Emma will lead global marketing and communications as the company continues to work with organizations navigating major technology and business shifts.

Her mandate will include building on Accenture's established global brand, supporting growth and strengthening relationships with clients while communicating the company's work around reinvention.

For Emma, the opportunity comes at a time when AI is reshaping how businesses operate, compete and engage with customers.

Marketing through the AI transition

Accenture has made AI a central component of its business strategy, investing heavily in helping organizations move from experimentation toward enterprise-scale adoption.

The company's work spans strategy, technology, cloud, data, AI and managed services, giving marketing an important role in communicating how these capabilities translate into business outcomes.

Emma's background across technology categories gives her experience in navigating precisely these kinds of market transitions, where the challenge is not only introducing new technology but also helping customers understand its broader business implications.

Building on an established global brand

One of Emma's priorities will be building on Accenture's position as one of the world's most recognized professional services and technology brands.

In announcing her move, Emma highlighted the opportunity to deepen client relationships, drive growth and bring Accenture's reinvention story to life in a way that is bold, differentiated and human.

That emphasis reflects a broader shift in enterprise marketing as AI increasingly automates parts of customer engagement and content creation, while trust, creativity and human connection remain important differentiators.

A new chapter for Emma Chalwin

Emma's appointment follows a long career spent helping technology companies build brands, engage customers and navigate changing markets.

Her move to Accenture brings that experience into a company operating at the center of the global AI and business reinvention conversation.

As she takes on the CMO role, Emma will work with Accenture's leadership, marketers and client teams worldwide to strengthen the company's market presence and communicate its evolving role in an AI-driven economy.
