Dhruva Space has appointed Rama Krishna Reddy, also known as Ram C., as Senior Vice President, Software Engineering & AI, marking his move into a leadership role at the Indian space technology company.

Ram joins Dhruva Space following his tenure at Spoors, where he focused on technology and software-led business transformation. After stepping away from Spoors, he took a four-month career break before beginning his new chapter in the space technology sector.

Bringing enterprise technology experience to space

Ram’s new role brings together several areas of his technology background, including scalable platforms, enterprise data systems and AI architecture.

His mandate at Dhruva Space comes as software becomes increasingly important across the space technology stack, from mission systems and satellite operations to data processing and intelligent applications.

Dhruva Space itself operates across Space, Launch and Ground segments, offering integrated satellite, earth station and launch solutions for applications ranging from communications and Earth observation to emergency response and national security.

Software and AI at the center of the next phase

Ram has outlined a clear focus for his new role: scaling software engineering capabilities and embedding AI across core functions to improve efficiency and support innovation.

The appointment comes at a time when Dhruva Space is expanding its technology portfolio. The company describes itself as a full-stack space engineering provider, with capabilities spanning satellite platforms, launch services, ground stations and satellite imagery services.
