NiCE appoints Rajesh Shriyan as Chief Information Officer

Article content
NiCE has appointed Rajesh Shriyan as Chief Information Officer (CIO), tasking him with advancing the company's enterprise-wide AI transformation and modernising its core business systems. He will lead the global information technology organisation and report to Arun Chandra, Chief Operating Officer at NiCE.
Rajesh brings more than 25 years of experience across enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, data, cloud, enterprise architecture and business applications. He joins NiCE from NetApp, where he most recently served as Vice President of AI, Data, Enterprise Architecture & Applications.
The appointment reflects NiCE's focus on extending its AI-first approach beyond customer-facing solutions and into its internal operations, with an emphasis on responsible AI adoption, operational efficiency and measurable business outcomes.
Bringing enterprise AI into business operations
At NetApp, Rajesh spent 15 years in technology leadership roles, overseeing a global organisation of technology leaders, architects, subject-matter experts and delivery partners.
He scaled the company's AI Center of Excellence, developed business-focused AI solutions and enabled responsible AI adoption across a workforce of more than 10,000 employees. His responsibilities also included enterprise architecture and data analytics, following his tenure as Chief Architect.
Earlier in his career, Rajesh spent more than a decade working as an IT architect at Cisco Systems. This experience across enterprise architecture, data and AI provides a foundation for his new role, where technology decisions will need to support both organisational scale and business performance.
Modernising the enterprise technology foundation
At NiCE, Rajesh will oversee enterprise applications, data, infrastructure and IT services. A central priority will be modernising core business processes, including quote-to-cash operations, while expanding the use of AI across the organisation.
Quote-to-cash encompasses the business processes involved in managing a customer transaction, from preparing a quotation and securing an order through billing and payment. Modernising this workflow can help improve coordination, reduce manual effort and provide greater visibility across business operations.
For NiCE, the broader challenge is to ensure that AI adoption translates into practical improvements in how employees work, how business processes operate and how the company serves its customers and partners.
Applying an AI-first approach beyond customer experience
NiCE provides AI-powered customer experience platforms designed to help organisations automate customer interactions and business workflows. Rajesh's appointment brings this focus on AI into the company's own technology environment.
Arun Chandra, Chief Operating Officer at NiCE, highlighted Rajesh's track record of translating technology and AI into measurable business outcomes, along with his experience in enterprise transformation and responsible AI adoption.
Rajesh said he intends to give NiCE's teams the data, platforms and AI capabilities needed to work more efficiently and deliver greater value to customers and partners.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering in Mumbai and is based in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina.
His appointment underscores the growing role of enterprise IT leaders in connecting AI strategy with operational execution. As organisations move from AI experimentation to broader implementation, CIOs are increasingly responsible for ensuring that the underlying technology, data and processes can support adoption at scale.
