Ericsson has elevated Deepal Jain to the role of AI Engagement Director, recognizing his extensive contributions to technology innovation and his deep expertise across artificial intelligence, telecommunications, product management, consulting, analytics, and customer engagement.

In his new position, Deepal will lead the development of custom AI use cases for Ericsson's global customers while driving AI adoption initiatives for telecom communication service providers worldwide. His role will focus on helping operators leverage artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and unlock new business opportunities.

The appointment comes as telecommunications companies increasingly view AI as a strategic capability for transforming network operations, customer engagement, service delivery, and business growth.

With nearly two decades of international experience, Deepal brings a unique blend of technical expertise, business strategy, and customer-centric leadership. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in helping organizations navigate digital transformation and implement innovative technology solutions at scale.

Prior to this elevation, Deepal served as Strategic Product Manager at Ericsson, where he managed global OSS/BSS ADM service offerings while overseeing customer relationships and strategic partnerships with leading hyperscale cloud providers. His work helped strengthen Ericsson's service portfolio and expand its capabilities in an increasingly cloud-driven telecom environment.

Before taking on leadership responsibilities at Ericsson, Jain held several key positions across Ericsson and Subex, building expertise in product management, business consulting, solution architecture, Internet of Things (IoT), OSS platforms, and network analytics.

His diverse experience has enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing telecom operators as they embrace next-generation technologies.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming a core component of telecom transformation strategies, helping operators automate complex processes, optimize networks, improve service quality, and accelerate innovation.
