Kraft Heinz appoints Alvaro Cantillo as Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer, NAZ

Article content
Kraft Heinz has appointed Alvaro Cantillo as Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer, NAZ, bringing his experience across supply chain and quality leadership to the company's North America operations.
Alvaro joins Kraft Heinz following his work at Haleon, where he held senior leadership responsibilities across supply chain and quality in North America.
His new role comes as Kraft Heinz operates under a new regional structure designed to sharpen focus across its global business and strengthen how the organisation manages its end-to-end value chain.
Leading Supply Chain and Procurement in North America
As Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer, NAZ, Alvaro will take on a senior leadership role across the supply chain and procurement agenda for Kraft Heinz's North America Zone.
The remit brings together two functions that are closely connected to manufacturing, sourcing, planning, logistics and the availability of products across a large consumer goods operation.
For a business operating at the scale of Kraft Heinz, supply chain leadership involves balancing service, efficiency, resilience, supplier relationships and the changing requirements of consumers and customers.
A New Chapter at Kraft Heinz
Alvaro brings experience from the healthcare and consumer health sector, including leadership across supply chain and quality at Haleon.
That background provides experience in managing complex supply chain environments where product quality, operational execution and customer availability need to work together.
His move to Kraft Heinz brings that experience into the food and beverage sector and a company with a broad portfolio of established consumer brands.
North America at the Centre of the New Structure
Kraft Heinz introduced a new global operating structure effective July 1, 2026, reorganising the company into three regions: North America, Europe and Pacific Developed Markets, and Emerging Markets.
North America is led by Nico Amaya and includes the United States and Canada. At the same time, Kraft Heinz combined Procurement and Supply Chain into one central global function under Janelle Aydin, Global Chief Procurement and Supply Chain Officer.
Alvaro's appointment therefore comes within a broader organisational structure designed to strengthen focus and execution across the company's operations.
Connecting Procurement With Supply Chain Execution
Procurement and supply chain are increasingly viewed as interconnected parts of the same value chain.
Sourcing decisions can influence manufacturing, cost, availability and resilience, while supply chain execution depends on the strength of supplier relationships, planning and operational coordination.
Alvaro's combined remit places these considerations within one leadership role for the North America Zone.
Building Resilience Across a Complex Value Chain
Kraft Heinz has identified supply chain resilience and end-to-end value chain management as important elements of its new operating structure.
The company's leadership has also highlighted the use of digital solutions to modernise its supply chain and improve productivity and efficiency.
Against this backdrop, Alvaro's role will sit close to the operational capabilities that connect suppliers, manufacturing and customers across North America.
A New Chapter for Alvaro Cantillo
Alvaro's appointment marks a move into a new industry and a broader North American supply chain and procurement leadership role.
His experience across supply chain and quality, combined with Kraft Heinz's new regional structure, provides the context for his new remit as the company continues to evolve its operating model.
