Kate Alderding Joins Atlassian To Lead DX Marketing Across APAC

Article content
Kate Alderding has joined Atlassian as APAC Marketing Lead for DX, taking on a founding regional marketing role focused on establishing the platform's go-to-market presence across Asia-Pacific.
Her appointment follows nearly ten years at Intuit, where she describes her experience as a defining chapter in her professional and personal development. The move marks a transition into a business-building role, with a mandate to translate DX's product-market fit into regional awareness, customer engagement and commercial pipeline.
At DX, Kate will focus on expanding the platform's presence across APAC, working with engineering leaders and organisations navigating the growing influence of artificial intelligence in software development.
Measuring The Real Impact Of AI On Engineering
A central part of DX's proposition is helping organisations understand whether investments in AI are delivering measurable improvements in engineering productivity.
As businesses accelerate the adoption of AI-powered development tools, engineering leaders face a growing challenge: distinguishing genuine productivity gains from increased technology spending. Measuring the impact requires more than tracking tool adoption or developer activity. It involves understanding developer sentiment alongside operational and software delivery data.
DX brings these perspectives together through a developer intelligence platform designed to give organisations a clearer view of developer experience, engineering effectiveness and the impact of technology investments.
Kate sees this as an important opportunity for the business, particularly as organisations reassess how they measure returns from AI adoption. Her regional mandate will involve communicating that value proposition to engineering leaders and translating market interest into sustainable business growth.
Nearly A Decade Of Experience At Intuit
Before joining Atlassian, Kate spent almost ten years at Intuit, a period she describes as instrumental to her professional development.
Her experience included working with teams through business transformation, solving complex organisational challenges and supporting growth in a technology-driven environment.
While her new role takes her into the developer experience and engineering intelligence category, the transition builds on that experience of helping businesses navigate change and identify opportunities for growth.
At DX, she will apply that background to developing the company's regional marketing strategy and building its presence across diverse APAC markets.
A Growing Focus On Developer Intelligence
The rapid adoption of AI across software engineering is changing how organisations evaluate developer productivity and technology investments.
For engineering leaders, the question is increasingly shifting from how much AI is being adopted to whether it is improving delivery, developer experience and business outcomes.
This creates an opportunity for platforms that can connect developer feedback with measurable engineering data. DX is positioning itself around that need, giving organisations intelligence to assess the effectiveness of their engineering environments and technology investments.
With Kate leading its APAC marketing efforts, the company is looking to strengthen its regional go-to-market foundation as demand for greater visibility into AI and engineering performance continues to develop.
