Article content
Google Cloud has appointed Stephanie Buscemi as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing an experienced technology marketing leader into a role closely connected to the company's growing focus on artificial intelligence and cloud adoption.
Stephanie has held senior marketing positions at some of the technology industry's major companies, including Salesforce and Confluent, giving her experience across enterprise software, data and cloud technologies.
Her new role comes as businesses increasingly move beyond AI experimentation and look to apply the technology across real-world operations.
Bringing global technology marketing experience
Stephanie previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Salesforce, where she led a global marketing organization of approximately 1,700 people.
She later became CMO of Confluent, working with a company focused on helping businesses work with data in real time.
That experience has given Stephanie exposure to two important areas of enterprise technology: cloud software and real-time data.
At Google Cloud, she will bring that background into an environment increasingly shaped by AI and the rapid evolution of enterprise technology.
A new marketing mandate around AI
Stephanie's appointment comes as organizations continue to evaluate how AI can move from experimentation into practical business applications.
Google Cloud has been expanding its AI capabilities and positioning its cloud platform around helping businesses develop, deploy and scale AI applications.
For marketing, that creates a challenge beyond communicating technical capabilities. Technology leaders increasingly need to connect AI with tangible business use cases, customer outcomes and the broader transformation taking place across organizations.
Stephanie's new role places her at the centre of that conversation.
From Salesforce and Confluent to Google Cloud
Stephanie's career has provided experience across different stages of the enterprise technology lifecycle.
At Salesforce, her remit included leading global marketing for one of the world's largest enterprise software companies. At Confluent, she worked in a market increasingly focused on real-time data and the infrastructure required to make it useful.
The move to Google Cloud brings those experiences together with one of the industry's most significant technology shifts: the adoption of AI across enterprise environments.
Leadership at a pivotal moment for cloud and AI
Cloud computing and AI are becoming increasingly interconnected as organizations look to build the infrastructure, applications and data foundations required for AI adoption.
Google Cloud's marketing organization therefore has a broad role in communicating not only the technology itself, but also how businesses can apply it to their operations.
Stephanie's experience across cloud-adjacent technologies, enterprise software and data provides a foundation for that work as Google Cloud continues to engage customers around the next phase of AI adoption.
A new chapter at Google Cloud
Stephanie's appointment marks another chapter in a career spanning some of the technology industry's most significant companies and technology shifts.
From enterprise software at Salesforce to real-time data at Confluent, her experience now moves to Google Cloud at a time when AI is reshaping how businesses think about technology, productivity and growth.
Her arrival adds an experienced technology marketing voice to Google Cloud's leadership as the company continues working with businesses navigating the transition from AI experimentation to implementation.
