Delinea appoints Timothy Regan as Chief Financial Officer

Article content
Delinea has appointed Timothy Regan as Chief Financial Officer, adding an experienced technology finance executive to its leadership team as the identity security company continues to scale.
Timothy brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience across high-growth technology companies. He joins Delinea from Dropbox, where he served as CFO from 2020 to 2025 and subsequently advised the company through early 2026.
His appointment comes as Delinea continues expanding its identity security platform and building its business beyond $500 million in annual recurring revenue.
Bringing finance leadership from Dropbox
Timothy spent nearly a decade at Dropbox, joining the company in 2016 as Chief Accounting Officer before becoming CFO in 2020.
During his tenure, he was part of Dropbox's leadership through significant stages of its development, including helping guide the company through its 2018 IPO.
Before Dropbox, Timothy served as VP Finance Controller at Pandora Media and held senior finance positions at Dolby Laboratories and Ernst & Young LLP.
His experience spans financial operations, accounting, commercial discipline and the systems required to support technology companies through periods of significant growth.
Strengthening Delinea's financial and operational foundation
As CFO, Timothy will lead Delinea's global finance organisation and work with the wider leadership team on the company's commercial and operational foundations.
Delinea surpassed $500 million in annual recurring revenue in 2025 and says it now serves more than 9,000 customers globally, including more than two-thirds of the Fortune 100.
At this stage of scale, finance leadership extends beyond financial reporting to include planning, operational discipline, commercial visibility and the infrastructure needed to support continued expansion.
Timothy's background in scaling finance organisations provides relevant experience for that mandate.
Identity security in the AI era
Delinea's appointment comes as the company positions identity security as an increasingly important component of enterprise security in an environment where AI agents, employees and machines can all interact with business systems.
The company describes its platform as continuously controlling what AI agents, humans and machines can do and for how long, with a focus on just-in-time authorisation and least-privilege access.
For Delinea, the growing use of AI introduces new questions around identity, access and control, particularly as organisations allow AI agents to perform more tasks across enterprise environments.
Building for the next stage of growth
Timothy's remit will combine financial leadership with the broader operational requirements of a company continuing to scale its global business.
His experience at Dropbox, alongside earlier leadership roles at Pandora Media and Dolby Laboratories, gives him a background across different stages of technology-company growth.
At Delinea, he will work alongside CEO Art Gilliland and the executive team as the company continues developing its identity security platform and expanding its presence in the enterprise market.
A new chapter for Delinea
Timothy said the opportunity to join Delinea reflects the growing importance of identity as AI becomes more deeply integrated into enterprise environments.
His arrival adds finance and operational leadership to a company that has surpassed $500 million in ARR and serves thousands of organisations worldwide.
The appointment marks the next stage of Delinea's growth as it continues building its identity security business for an increasingly AI-driven enterprise environment.
