Consensus has appointed Sean Murray as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing an experienced software revenue executive into the company's leadership team.
Sean joins Consensus after most recently serving as CEO of Productiv, following earlier CRO roles at Greenhouse and Salesloft, where he worked on building and scaling enterprise revenue organisations.
At Consensus, he will take ownership of new business, expansion and partnerships as the company moves into its next phase following two acquisitions and the expansion of its platform across self-guided, AI-powered and live product experiences.
From scaling revenue engines to leading Consensus growth
Sean's career has centred on building and scaling revenue organisations at high-growth software companies.
At Greenhouse, he helped scale the business from $40 million to more than $200 million, according to Consensus. Earlier at Salesloft, he built the company's enterprise motion from the ground up as the business expanded toward $200 million. He most recently served as CEO of Productiv.
That combination of CRO and CEO experience brings both revenue execution and broader company leadership experience to his new role at Consensus.
Owning new business, expansion and partnerships
Sean's remit at Consensus will cover three core areas of the company's revenue organisation: new business, customer expansion and partnerships.
The role comes as Consensus looks to bring together different forms of product engagement within a single platform. Its offering now connects self-guided product exploration, AI-powered conversations and live demos, creating a broader set of interactions between buyers and software companies.
For the revenue organisation, that creates an opportunity to use engagement data across the buying journey as part of how teams understand prospects and existing customers.
A changing enterprise buying journey
A central theme behind Sean's move is the changing way enterprise software is evaluated.
Consensus says buyers are increasingly researching and evaluating products before engaging directly with sellers. Its platform is designed to capture those interactions across different demo experiences and turn them into what the company calls Demo Intelligence.
Sean highlighted this shift when discussing his decision to join Consensus, pointing to the growing amount of buyer evaluation happening before a sales conversation.
The change has implications for revenue teams, which increasingly need visibility into what prospective customers are researching, which stakeholders are involved and where buying activity is progressing.
Building on two acquisitions
Sean joins Consensus following a significant period of expansion for the company.
Consensus completed acquisitions of Peel and Saleo in 2026. Peel added AI-powered conversational demos, while Saleo brought data-rich live demo capabilities that can incorporate account-specific information into product experiences.
Together, the acquisitions have expanded Consensus beyond traditional demo automation toward a broader product experience platform connecting buyer-led, agent-led and seller-led interactions.
Sean's arrival adds revenue leadership as the company works to bring those capabilities together commercially.
From demo automation to Demo Intelligence
Consensus has increasingly positioned its platform around the idea that product engagement can generate useful intelligence for revenue teams.
The company's platform connects interactive product tours, AI demo agents, video and live demos, with interactions generating signals around buyer engagement.
That positioning also aligns with Consensus's recent recognition in G2's newly introduced Agentic GTM Platforms category, while the company continues to build its position in demo automation and sales technology.
For Sean, the opportunity is to translate that product and category momentum into a scalable revenue engine across new customers, existing accounts and partners.
A new chapter for Consensus
Sean's appointment comes at a significant point in Consensus's development, following acquisitions, expansion of its product platform and increased focus on the changing enterprise buying journey.
His experience across Salesloft, Greenhouse and Productiv gives him a career history rooted in software revenue leadership, from building enterprise motions to scaling organisations and leading a SaaS company.
At Consensus, he will now lead the go-to-market organisation as the company works to turn product engagement into actionable buyer intelligence and revenue growth.
