LTM launches GCC Origin to help enterprises build and transform AI-native capability centres in India

LTM has launched GCC Origin, a dedicated business unit focused on helping enterprises establish, operate, scale and transform Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India. The unit represents an evolution of LTM's GCC strategy, with a model designed to address changing enterprise requirements as artificial intelligence becomes more central to business operations.
Operating as a standalone business unit within LTM, GCC Origin will have dedicated leadership, sales and delivery teams, specialist expertise and investment. Shailendra Singh has been appointed to lead the business, reporting to Venu Lambu, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of LTM.
The launch comes as multinational companies increasingly look to GCCs to support technology development, innovation, business operations and enterprise-wide transformation, beyond traditional cost optimisation.
GCC Origin brings together strategy, AI, technology, talent, infrastructure, operations and ecosystem partnerships within a single model. Its services span site selection, workplace and infrastructure planning, operational readiness and turnkey facilities across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India.
The business is powered by BlueVerse, LTM's agentic AI ecosystem, with the aim of helping enterprises establish new GCCs and transform existing operations into AI-native environments.
Moving GCCs beyond cost efficiency
The role of GCCs has expanded as enterprises seek to develop strategic capabilities closer to technology talent, innovation networks and specialised delivery teams.
In its announcement, LTM said businesses increasingly expect GCCs to create value from the outset and take ownership of capabilities that influence wider business performance. AI is becoming a central part of that shift, changing how companies approach operating models, workforce planning and technology deployment.
Venu Lambu said GCC Origin was designed to help enterprises build centres with AI integrated into their operating models from the beginning. Its modular structure allows clients to select services according to their priorities, from initial setup to ongoing operations and transformation.
The approach reflects a broader change in how organisations assess their India operations. Rather than treating GCCs primarily as delivery hubs, enterprises are increasingly positioning them as contributors to product development, digital transformation, data and analytics, and enterprise innovation.
A modular model for GCC establishment and transformation
GCC Origin offers a component-based service catalogue that allows enterprises to select support according to the maturity, scale and ownership structure of their GCCs.
Options include Assisted GCC, Build-Operate-Transform-Transfer, Virtual GCC, joint ventures, staff augmentation and Hire-Operate-Transfer. Enterprises can engage across the full lifecycle or select individual services based on their operating requirements.
The model is structured around five areas:
Design and advisory: Support for GCC strategy, location selection, engagement models, operating blueprints, governance and commercial and ownership structures.
Talent and workforce development: AI-driven platforms, including Talent Pool Radar, TalentInsights and LTM Shoshin, support recruitment, talent management and continuous upskilling as GCCs expand.
AI agents, automation and innovation: BlueVerse provides access to more than 300 pre-built, domain-specific AI agents, alongside custom agent development. AI Centres of Excellence, innovation-as-a-service and the Automate suite, powered by Agent Next, are designed to embed AI across operations and improve productivity. Enterprises can also access LTM's AI studios in the United States, Europe and India.
Operations and transformation: Services include IT and business operations, transition management, governance, knowledge management, finance, tax, payroll and workplace services.
Transfer: Structured transfer of talent, technology, knowledge, infrastructure, capabilities and operational ownership, aligned with each enterprise's preferred model and level of maturity.
By combining these capabilities, GCC Origin aims to give organisations flexibility in how they establish and manage their centres, while maintaining a pathway towards broader AI adoption and operational transformation.
BlueVerse places AI at the centre of the model
A central component of GCC Origin is BlueVerse, LTM's agentic AI ecosystem. The platform brings together AI agents and related capabilities intended to support enterprise workflows and operational processes.
For GCCs, this could include using AI to automate selected tasks, support knowledge-intensive work and improve the speed of service delivery. LTM's AI studios and innovation services are intended to give enterprises additional resources to develop and deploy AI capabilities.
The emphasis on AI-native design also raises questions that enterprises must address as they implement these models, including governance, security, workforce readiness and integration with existing systems. The value of AI-enabled GCCs will depend not only on the technology available but also on how effectively organisations incorporate it into their operating processes.
GCC Origin's integrated structure is intended to connect these considerations with the practical requirements of building and running a centre, from infrastructure and hiring to technology implementation and long-term operations.
India remains central to the next phase of GCC growth
India's established technology workforce, enterprise services ecosystem and network of delivery locations have made it an important destination for multinational GCCs. The market is now seeing growing interest in centres with broader mandates spanning engineering, AI, product development and strategic business functions.
LTM's decision to establish GCC Origin as a dedicated business unit reflects an effort to address this evolving demand through a coordinated offering that combines advisory, infrastructure, talent, AI and operations.
Its coverage of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities also points to the importance of location strategy as enterprises evaluate access to talent, operating costs, infrastructure and expansion opportunities.
For companies entering India or looking to modernise existing centres, the challenge is to align location and workforce decisions with long-term business objectives while developing the technical and organisational capabilities needed for AI adoption.
With GCC Origin, LTM is positioning itself to support that process across the lifecycle of a capability centre, from initial design and setup to operation, transformation and transfer.
