Cent raises $15M Series A to expand preventive healthcare in India, acquires Medsee

Cent, an India-focused preventive healthcare company, has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons. Alongside the financing, the company has acquired Medsee, an AI-powered radiology platform, as it looks to strengthen its diagnostic capabilities and expand access to early disease detection.

The funding comes as Cent builds a healthcare model focused on identifying potential health risks before symptoms appear. Founded in 2025, the company combines medical imaging, diagnostic biomarkers and AI-supported analysis to help identify risks associated with cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurological conditions and metabolic disorders.

Cent says it has completed 10,000 scans across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi since launching. According to the company, among people who arrived feeling well, one in four had a finding worth acting on, while one in 40 required immediate medical attention.

These figures reflect findings from Cent's own patient population and are not necessarily representative of the wider population. They nevertheless highlight the company's central proposition: preventive screening can identify health concerns that may otherwise remain undetected until symptoms emerge.

Medsee acquisition strengthens AI-led radiology

The acquisition of Medsee adds an AI-enabled radiology workflow platform to Cent's preventive healthcare offering. Medsee develops technology designed to support medical imaging, structured reporting and collaboration among radiology professionals.

Cent plans to use this capability to help its doctors produce reports more quickly and consistently, while integrating AI-led radiology more closely into its broader diagnostic process.

The deal reflects a wider opportunity for healthcare technology companies to combine clinical expertise with AI-assisted workflows. In radiology, such systems can support the organisation and interpretation of imaging information, although clinical oversight remains essential.

Financial terms of the Medsee acquisition were not disclosed in the announcement.

Funding to support expansion and health intelligence

Cent plans to use the Series A proceeds to expand its network of screening centres into more cities and invest in the technology underpinning its preventive healthcare model.

Its priorities include purpose-built hardware, bioinformatics and longitudinal health tracking, enabling health information to be assessed over time rather than as a series of isolated check-ups. The company also intends to invest in Indian health baselines and clinical research, with the aim of developing reference data that better reflects the health profiles of the population it serves.

Additional investment will go towards expanding Cent's AI, engineering and clinical teams.

The strategy centres on building an integrated preventive health system that combines imaging, biomarkers, AI-supported analysis and medical review. Cent aims to make early detection more accessible while improving the consistency and precision of its screening approach.

Building for a larger preventive healthcare market

Cent's expansion comes amid growing attention to early disease detection in India, where many serious conditions are diagnosed only after they have progressed. While the country has established treatment and diagnostic capabilities, preventive screening remains an important area for healthcare innovation.

Cent's model is designed to bring multiple diagnostic inputs together within a more standardised screening process. Its longer-term plans include tracking health over time, developing population-specific reference data and improving the affordability and reach of preventive services.

The company has stated an ambition to help save one million lives by 2035. Achieving that goal will depend on its ability to expand access, maintain clinical quality and demonstrate that earlier detection leads to meaningful improvements in health outcomes.

With fresh capital and the addition of Medsee's radiology technology, Cent is positioning itself to expand its preventive healthcare infrastructure while deepening the role of AI in its diagnostic workflows.
