Daytona secures $60M Series B to scale AI agent infrastructure at $1B valuation

Article content
Daytona has raised $60 million in Series B funding at a $1 billion valuation, as demand grows for cloud infrastructure purpose-built for AI agents. The round was led by FirstMark Growth and brings the company’s total funding to $91 million.
The round includes participation from technology founders and executives, including Patrick Collison of Stripe, Tobi Lütke of Shopify, Aravind Srinivas of Perplexity, Eric Yuan of Zoom, Olivier Pomel of Datadog, Adam D’Angelo of Quora and Brendan Foody of Mercor. Strategic investors include Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Okta Ventures.
Founded by Ivan Burazin and his co-founders, Daytona is developing what it calls the Agent Cloud: an execution layer that provides AI agents with the computing environments, browsers, storage and tools they need to perform work.
Building a cloud designed for AI agents
Traditional cloud infrastructure is largely designed around applications and services that run for extended periods. AI agents have different requirements, including the ability to launch computing environments quickly, retain state between tasks, create parallel instances and shut down resources when work is complete.
Daytona’s platform provides isolated computing environments, known as sandboxes, across Linux, Windows, macOS and GPU configurations. These environments are designed to let agents execute code, interact with software tools, browse the web and perform development and other complex tasks.
The distinction is important as enterprises move AI agents beyond demonstrations and into production workflows. In these settings, models need more than the ability to generate responses. They also need reliable infrastructure to execute tasks safely, interact with applications and manage work across different environments.
Customer adoption drives growth
Daytona says its business has expanded rapidly alongside the adoption of agent-based systems. According to the company’s funding announcement, revenue grew approximately 25 times between January and October 2026, while average month-over-month net revenue retention reached approximately 135%. These are company-reported figures and have not been independently verified here.
Its customer base spans several parts of the AI ecosystem, including model developers such as Meta and Cohere, AI data and research companies, and businesses embedding agents into their products. The company names Writer, Clay, n8n, Postman, Mintlify and bolt.new among its customers.
Daytona also cites Writer’s use of its platform to provision 300,000 sandboxes in a single month, illustrating the scale of execution environments that agent-based applications can require.
Funding to accelerate the agentic infrastructure market
The new capital will support Daytona’s continued development of its Agent Cloud platform and its expansion across engineering, go-to-market and operations. The company is recruiting for on-site roles in San Francisco as it builds out the infrastructure required to support agents in production.
The funding highlights a broader shift in the AI infrastructure market. As agents take on more complex, multi-step work, the supporting technology stack is expanding beyond model training and inference to include secure execution environments, persistent state and scalable access to tools.
For Daytona, the ambition is to make computing infrastructure for AI agents as readily available and adaptable as the environments developers already use to build and run software.
