Yext Completes Acquisition of Flamel.ai to Expand Into Localized Paid Media

Yext (NYSE: YEXT) has completed its acquisition of Flamel.ai, bringing AI-powered localized advertising capabilities into its enterprise marketing platform. The completion was announced on November 2, 2026, following the signing of a definitive acquisition agreement on September 30.

The transaction adds a new dimension to Yext's strategy of building an agentic marketing platform, extending its capabilities beyond organic search visibility, listings, reviews, web and social into paid media execution.

Flamel.ai is designed for franchise and multi-location businesses that need to coordinate advertising across hundreds or thousands of individual locations. Its technology helps brands establish campaign strategy and guidelines centrally while adapting paid campaigns to local audiences, with brand oversight and location-level reporting.

Neither company disclosed the financial terms of the acquisition.

Connecting Competitive Intelligence With Paid Campaign Execution

The strategic rationale behind the acquisition centres on connecting marketing intelligence with the ability to act on it.

Yext's Scout product provides competitive intelligence, helping brands understand how they and their individual locations appear across AI-powered and traditional search experiences. Flamel.ai adds the execution layer, helping organisations manage localized advertising campaigns across their locations.

Together, the technologies are intended to help brands make more informed decisions about where to allocate advertising budgets, rather than distributing spend uniformly across markets.

Under the combined approach, brand teams can establish campaigns and approved budgets centrally, while AI agents help adapt campaigns for individual locations. Local teams and franchisees can participate through approved offers and budgets, with central brand controls and location-level reporting.

Yext expects the combination to support the management of hundreds of advertising accounts, localized creative variations and campaigns across leading advertising platforms.

The acquisition also extends the range of channels managed through Yext's platform. Paid media joins search, listings, reviews, web, social, email and SMS as part of its broader marketing offering.

Flamel.ai Team to Lead Yext's New Paid Media Product

For Flamel.ai, the acquisition marks the next stage of a four-year journey that began with the development of a generative AI social media tool before the launch of ChatGPT.

In a post marking the completion, Flamel.ai founder and CEO Paul Ehlinger reflected on the company's early development, describing the challenges of building a business through product changes, customer losses and the demands of scaling a startup.

Ehlinger also confirmed that the entire Flamel.ai team, including himself, will join Yext to lead its new paid media product.

He highlighted the collaboration with Yext leadership, including CEO Michael Walrath and Andrew Rainey, as well as the company's product and engineering teams. The transition is intended to bring Flamel.ai's localized advertising expertise into a broader enterprise marketing environment.

The founder also acknowledged the investors who supported Flamel.ai through its journey, including Dundee Venture Capital, Allos Ventures, Cintrifuse Capital, Keyhorse Capital, Flywheel Fund, Fireroad and Elevate Ventures, alongside Bradley Davis.

A Broader Move Into Agentic Marketing

The acquisition reflects a wider shift in enterprise marketing technology, where AI is moving beyond content generation and analytics towards operational execution.

For franchise and multi-location brands, running paid campaigns at scale presents a practical challenge. Each location can have different competitive conditions, audience behaviour, budgets and creative requirements. Managing those variations manually can make localized advertising difficult to sustain.

Yext is positioning the combined platform to address that complexity. Its stated direction is to bring competitive intelligence, campaign planning and paid media execution together, allowing marketing teams to establish strategy while agents help manage activity across local markets.

Yext Senior Vice President of Product Chris Brownlee said the combination of Flamel.ai with Scout, Pages and Social is part of the company's effort to build a platform where agents can manage local paid media workflows end to end.

That ambition will depend on how effectively the products are integrated and how reliably the platform can manage campaign decisions, brand governance and performance across large location networks.

What the Acquisition Means for Yext

The completed transaction strengthens Yext's position in the evolving marketing technology landscape by adding a capability that connects local visibility with paid campaign execution.

For Flamel.ai, joining Yext provides access to a larger enterprise platform, broader customer relationships and additional distribution opportunities. For Yext, the acquisition creates a pathway to bring paid media into a unified marketing environment, giving brands a more connected way to manage organic and paid visibility.

As AI agents take on a larger role in marketing operations, the next competitive advantage may come not only from understanding where brands are visible, but also from acting on that intelligence across every market they serve.
