Automation Anywhere has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Boost.ai from Nordic Capital, in a move designed to connect conversational AI more closely with enterprise automation.

Boost.ai develops conversational and voice AI solutions used by enterprises to support customer interactions. The planned acquisition would add these capabilities to Automation Anywhere's agentic automation and orchestration platform, helping businesses connect a customer's request with the systems and processes required to resolve it.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Connecting conversations with business outcomes

The proposed acquisition reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI, from systems that answer questions or complete individual tasks towards solutions that can coordinate entire workflows.

Automation Anywhere aims to connect customer intent, expressed through voice, chat and digital channels, with the actions required to deliver an outcome. That could involve understanding a request, coordinating AI agents and enterprise applications, and bringing in human support where judgement or exceptions are required.

By combining Boost.ai's conversational capabilities with its automation platform, Automation Anywhere intends to help enterprises move beyond answering customer questions to completing the work behind them.

Expanding conversational and voice AI

Boost.ai serves hundreds of customer organisations, with a strong presence in Europe and regulated sectors including financial services, telecommunications and insurance. Its platform combines natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI to support conversational experiences across enterprise environments.

The company also brings voice AI capabilities and experience working with organisations where reliability, security and compliance are important considerations.

For Automation Anywhere, the addition would extend its offering further into customer-facing operations, complementing its existing capabilities in employee service and business process automation.

Building on Automation Anywhere's AI strategy

The proposed acquisition follows Automation Anywhere's acquisition of Aisera in late 2025, which added enterprise knowledge and automated employee service capabilities to its platform.

Together, the planned addition of Boost.ai and the existing Aisera capabilities would support Automation Anywhere's vision of an Autonomous Enterprise, where AI agents and automation systems can coordinate work across customer service, employee support and business operations.

The strategy centres on connecting systems that have traditionally operated separately, allowing AI to understand requests, apply business rules and coordinate the processes required to act on them.

Supporting complex enterprise environments

The combination could be particularly relevant to organisations operating in regulated or operationally complex industries, where customer interactions often trigger processes across multiple systems.

In financial services, telecommunications and insurance, for example, resolving a customer request may require more than a conversational response. It can involve accessing records, validating information, updating systems and completing a defined process while maintaining appropriate controls.

Automation Anywhere's proposed acquisition of Boost.ai is intended to bring conversational and voice AI closer to those underlying workflows, while retaining the governance and oversight enterprises need.

A new phase for conversational AI

In a statement shared alongside the announcement, Boost.ai's leadership emphasised the importance of the team, customer relationships and enterprise outcomes built over the company's ten-year history. The message also highlighted continuity for customers and partners while pointing to the opportunity to connect customer conversations directly with the work needed to resolve them.

The transaction, once completed, would bring Boost.ai's conversational AI expertise into Automation Anywhere's broader automation strategy. The focus will be on linking customer interactions with end-to-end execution, helping enterprises move from AI-generated responses to completed business outcomes.
