Intuit has signed an agreement to acquire Sequence, an AI-native revenue management platform designed to automate the quote-to-revenue process for businesses.

Announced on October 15, 2026, the proposed acquisition will expand Intuit's financial management capabilities for mid-market businesses, strengthening offerings including Intuit Enterprise Suite and QuickBooks Online Advanced.

Sequence helps finance and commercial teams manage the processes connecting contracts, pricing, billing, invoicing, collections and revenue recognition. Its platform is designed to replace spreadsheet-driven workflows and reduce the manual work involved in managing complex revenue models.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Expanding Intuit's mid-market capabilities

The acquisition is intended to help Intuit serve businesses with more complex pricing and revenue management requirements.

As companies adopt consumption-based, usage-based, seat-based and milestone-based pricing, connecting contracts to billing and revenue recognition can become increasingly difficult. These workflows often span multiple systems, creating additional administrative work for finance teams.

Sequence will add capabilities that allow Intuit to offer a more integrated approach to pricing, billing and collections. The company expects the acquisition to strengthen its position in the mid-market, including among businesses and accounting firms seeking alternatives to manual processes and legacy enterprise resource planning systems.

Bringing AI into the quote-to-revenue lifecycle

Sequence's platform uses AI agents to automate tasks across the revenue lifecycle, from deal configuration and pricing through invoicing, collections and revenue recognition.

The technology is designed to work alongside finance teams, helping coordinate recurring tasks and manage the complexity associated with different commercial models.

This capability is particularly relevant to B2B software and professional services companies, where revenue can depend on usage, consumption, contracted seats or delivery milestones.

For Intuit, the addition of Sequence is intended to extend its financial platform into workflows that go beyond traditional bookkeeping and accounting, connecting commercial activity more closely with financial operations.

Supporting a broader range of industries

Intuit says the acquisition will help it serve additional industries, including B2B software and professional services, where flexible pricing structures and complex billing requirements are increasingly common.

The company plans to develop an integrated offering in the coming months. Following completion of the acquisition, Intuit also intends to continue supporting existing Sequence customers and maintaining access to its capabilities.

Sequence's co-founder and CEO, Riya Grover, will join Intuit's Mid-Market product organisation as part of the transaction. Intuit will also gain Sequence's AI engineering talent and revenue management platform.

Extending Intuit's financial system of intelligence

The acquisition fits into Intuit's broader strategy of connecting financial data, AI capabilities and automated workflows across its products.

By adding Sequence's quote-to-revenue functionality, Intuit aims to help growing businesses manage more of their financial operations through a connected platform. This could reduce the need to move between separate tools to manage commercial agreements, billing and revenue reporting.

The planned integration will be important in determining how seamlessly these capabilities work across Intuit's existing products and how much manual effort businesses can ultimately eliminate.

The next phase for Sequence

For Sequence, joining Intuit provides an opportunity to extend its AI-native revenue management platform to a broader customer base and across additional industries.

The company was founded in 2021 and is based in London and New York. It serves finance teams at high-growth software and services businesses, helping them automate the operational processes connecting commercial agreements to recognised revenue.

The proposed acquisition brings Sequence's specialised technology into a larger financial software ecosystem, with the aim of making sophisticated revenue management more accessible to growing businesses.
