Vivek Jetley has taken over as Chief Executive Officer of Hexaware Technologies, effective 28 October 2026, as the company looks to advance its AI-led services strategy and expand its global business.
Vivek joins Hexaware from EXL, where he served as President, leading the company's Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences businesses. His appointment follows the planned departure of Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan, widely known as Keech, who stepped down as CEO and from the company's board after 12 years in the role. Keech will remain with Hexaware as a Senior Advisor to support the leadership transition.
Vivek's appointment comes as artificial intelligence reshapes the technology services industry, changing how companies develop capabilities, deliver services and help enterprise customers achieve business outcomes.
Hexaware has identified accelerating growth and scaling its AI-led services model globally as key priorities under his leadership.
A career built around data, analytics and transformation
Vivek brings more than 25 years of experience spanning management consulting, analytics, data and AI-led transformation, enterprise strategy and business leadership.
Before joining Hexaware, he spent nearly two decades at EXL. He joined the company in 2006 through its acquisition of Inductis, a specialist analytics consulting firm where he was a partner.
During his tenure at EXL, Vivek held leadership roles across corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, innovation and acquisitions. He subsequently led EXL Analytics, building and managing capabilities in advanced analytics, AI services and enterprise data management for clients across multiple industries.
Most recently, he led EXL's Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences businesses, combining industry-specific expertise with data and technology capabilities.
This experience across analytics, consulting and industry-focused services provides relevant context for his move to Hexaware, where the opportunity lies in connecting AI capabilities with enterprise requirements and measurable client outcomes.
Positioning Hexaware for an AI-led services market
Hexaware has described AI as a central force reshaping the technology services industry. As businesses explore generative AI and other advanced technologies, service providers face growing expectations to help customers move from experimentation to practical implementation and measurable results.
For technology services companies, this shift affects more than the solutions offered. It also influences service delivery models, workforce capabilities, operating processes and the way client engagements are structured.
Hexaware's stated ambition is to strengthen its position as an AI-led services company, helping clients navigate this transition while developing its own capabilities to support new forms of technology-enabled delivery.
Vivek's experience building analytics and AI services at EXL gives him a background directly relevant to these priorities. His previous responsibilities have included developing business capabilities, establishing strategic partnerships and leading large businesses through periods of technological change.
The challenge will be to translate that experience into continued growth for Hexaware while helping clients identify where AI can create meaningful business value.
Combining industry expertise with enterprise AI
Hexaware serves organisations across industries through technology and business process services. Its work includes helping enterprises build, transform, operate and optimise technology systems and business processes.
As AI becomes more closely integrated into enterprise operations, domain expertise and trusted customer relationships remain important alongside technical capability. Organisations need solutions that account for industry-specific requirements, existing systems, data readiness and the practical realities of implementation.
Vivek's experience leading EXL's insurance, healthcare and life sciences businesses, alongside his earlier work in analytics and enterprise data management, reflects the combination of industry knowledge and technology-led transformation that is increasingly relevant to enterprise customers.
His leadership remit at Hexaware will include scaling the company's AI-led services model globally and accelerating business growth as client demand evolves.
A leadership transition at an important moment
Vivek succeeds Keech, who led Hexaware for 12 years and will continue as a Senior Advisor to support the transition. The change marks a new phase for the company as it seeks to build on its existing client relationships, industry expertise and AI capabilities.
Welcoming Vivek's appointment, Hexaware Non-Executive Chairman Larry Quinlan highlighted his experience scaling businesses, strengthening enterprise relationships and developing data and AI-led growth platforms.
Vivek has also emphasised the opportunity for AI to change how services are delivered, how capabilities are developed and how enterprises create value. His stated focus is to help clients navigate that shift while advancing Hexaware's ambitions in AI-led services.
Looking ahead
Vivek Jetley's appointment places data, analytics and AI-led transformation experience at the centre of Hexaware's next leadership chapter.
The wider technology services market is evolving as customers reassess how they use AI, what outcomes they expect from technology partners and how services can be delivered more effectively. For Hexaware, the priority will be to turn its AI ambitions into scalable capabilities, stronger client outcomes and sustained global growth.
Vivek's experience across consulting, analytics and industry-focused business leadership will inform that next phase as Hexaware works to expand its role in the evolving enterprise AI landscape.
