Infosys has announced the appointment of Ashiss Kumar Dash as Chief Executive Officer Designate, marking the beginning of a planned leadership transition at one of India's largest IT services companies. Dash will succeed Salil Parekh as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on April 1, 2027, subject to statutory and shareholder approvals.
The appointment reflects Infosys' preference for leadership continuity, with Dash bringing more than three decades of experience within the organization as it continues navigating enterprise AI adoption, cloud transformation, and evolving client demand.
A Three-Decade Infosys Veteran
Ashiss Kumar Dash has spent more than 30 years at Infosys, holding a series of leadership positions across the company's global business. Most recently, he has served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability, leading one of the company's largest industry portfolios.
Throughout his career, Dash has worked across global delivery, client management, consulting, and industry verticals, helping expand Infosys' presence in strategic international markets. Based in Los Angeles, he also serves on the boards of several Infosys subsidiaries supporting public sector, digital experience, and Salesforce-focused businesses.
Preparing for the Next Chapter
The leadership transition will begin well ahead of the official handover, with Salil Parekh expected to mentor Dash before his tenure concludes in March 2027. The structured succession plan is designed to ensure business continuity while positioning Infosys for its next phase of growth.
The announcement comes as Infosys continues to expand its enterprise AI capabilities, reporting increasing AI-related revenues and large enterprise deal wins despite a cautious global spending environment.
Looking Ahead
With deep institutional knowledge and extensive customer relationships built over three decades, Dash is expected to lead Infosys through the next phase of AI-led digital transformation while continuing to strengthen the company's global technology services business.
