Goda Ramkumar Appointed Vice President, Data Science & AI at Flipkart

Flipkart has appointed Goda Ramkumar as Vice President, Data Science & AI, reinforcing its commitment to leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and data science capabilities to drive innovation, operational excellence, and customer experiences at scale.

A highly accomplished AI and data science leader, Goda brings extensive expertise across machine learning, optimization, forecasting, personalization, marketplace intelligence, and large-scale AI platform development. Throughout her career, she has built and scaled high-performing data science organizations while leading transformational AI initiatives across some of India's most prominent technology companies.

In her new role, Goda will help drive Flipkart's AI strategy, supporting the company's efforts to enhance customer experiences, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate data-driven decision-making across its rapidly growing ecosystem.

The appointment comes at a time when artificial intelligence is becoming a foundational capability for modern digital commerce, powering everything from personalization and demand forecasting to supply chain optimization and customer engagement.

Prior to joining Flipkart, Goda spent several years at Swiggy, where she held multiple leadership positions including Vice President, Data Science, Assistant Vice President, Data Science, and Principal Data Scientist. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping AI strategy across key business units including Food Delivery, Dineout, and Instamart.

Her work focused on applying advanced analytics and machine learning to solve complex business challenges, improve customer experiences, and support scalable growth across Swiggy's platform.

Beyond her corporate leadership roles, Goda has also contributed to the advancement of AI education and industry development. She has served as Visiting Faculty at both Jio Institute and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, sharing her expertise with the next generation of technology and business leaders.

Her previous experience includes leadership roles such as General Manager, Data Science at xto10x, Principal Data Scientist at Ola, and several Operations Research leadership positions at Sabre. She also serves as a Member of Committee at ACM India and is part of the broader CXXO leadership community.
