ADM appoints Ruben D. Chacon as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer

ADM has appointed Ruben D. Chacon as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, bringing new senior leadership to the company's global cybersecurity organisation.

Ruben's appointment comes as ADM continues to advance its digital transformation while strengthening the security capabilities required to support a complex global business. In his new role, he will work across the organisation to build on the cybersecurity team's existing work, strengthen cyber resilience and integrate security into how ADM develops and delivers value.

Leading Cybersecurity at ADM

As Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, Ruben will oversee ADM's information security priorities and work with teams across the company to strengthen its cybersecurity posture.

ADM's cybersecurity programme is led by its CISO, who is responsible for prevention, detection, mitigation and remediation efforts and directs the company's Global Information and Cyber Security Council. The council brings together representatives from technology, compliance, privacy, operations, security, automation, enterprise risk management and internal audit.

Ruben's mandate therefore extends beyond traditional security operations, placing cybersecurity within the broader technology, operational and business environment.

Strengthening Cyber Resilience

In announcing his appointment, Ruben highlighted cyber resilience as a key priority, alongside enabling innovation and supporting the business.

At ADM, this responsibility sits alongside a broader technology organisation led by Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer Nandha Kumar. ADM says Kumar is responsible for the company's information technology strategies, including data quality and integrity and analytical capabilities.
