Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has approved a fresh investment of approximately $20 billion for its semiconductor manufacturing expansion in Arizona, further strengthening its long-term commitment to U.S.-based chip production.

The company also approved a broader capital allocation plan worth nearly $313 billion for future fabrication facilities, advanced packaging operations, and semiconductor manufacturing capacity expansion. The investment highlights the continued global race to strengthen chip production infrastructure amid rapidly growing demand driven by AI, high-performance computing, and advanced digital technologies.

TSMC’s Arizona expansion has become one of the most closely watched semiconductor manufacturing projects globally as governments and technology companies prioritize supply chain resilience and domestic chip production capabilities.
