Tech Mahindra and UKG Partner for AI Workforce Shift

Tech Mahindra and UKG have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating AI-driven workforce transformation and workforce management modernization for enterprises, particularly small and mid-market organizations across North America.
The partnership will focus on deploying the UKG Workforce Operating Platform across industries including IT, retail, manufacturing, and services, helping organizations improve productivity, workforce agility, employee experience, and operational efficiency through AI-powered workforce solutions.
As part of the collaboration, Tech Mahindra will expand its UKG services practice and implement the UKG platform internally across its own workforce operations. The company will also provide implementation, integration, and support services for global enterprise customers adopting the platform.
The UKG Workforce Operating Platform combines HR, payroll, and workforce management capabilities using AI-powered automation and workforce intelligence. Built on one of the world’s largest workforce datasets, the platform is designed to help enterprises optimize frontline operations, workforce planning, onboarding, talent mobility, payroll accuracy, and employee engagement.
Sumit Kumar Popli, President of the Technology, Media and Entertainment Business at Tech Mahindra, said organizations today require scalable and intelligent workforce systems capable of improving agility and business outcomes in increasingly dynamic labor environments. He added that expanding the company’s UKG practice will help enterprises accelerate workforce transformation initiatives while improving implementation speed and platform adoption.
The announcement aligns with Tech Mahindra’s broader push toward enterprise AI and agentic AI-led transformation initiatives. In recent months, the company has expanded investments across AI-native enterprise platforms, workforce automation, and intelligent operations through solutions such as TechM Orion and AI Delivered Right.
