ServiceNow Expands AI Control Tower to Strengthen Enterprise AI Governance

Article content
ServiceNow has announced a major expansion of its AI Control Tower platform, positioning it as a centralized governance and observability layer for enterprise AI systems operating across multiple environments and third-party platforms.
The expanded platform enables organizations to discover, observe, govern, secure, and measure AI systems deployed across enterprise infrastructure, including environments running on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, SAP, Oracle, and Workday. The announcement was made during the company’s Knowledge 2026 event.
Originally introduced as a governance layer for AI visibility, AI Control Tower has now evolved into what ServiceNow describes as a full enterprise AI command center. The latest expansion includes over 30 new integrations designed to help enterprises monitor AI assets, autonomous agents, and connected systems across hybrid environments.
A key addition to the platform is deeper runtime observability for AI agents through ServiceNow’s integration of Traceloop capabilities. This allows enterprises to gain visibility into how AI agents reason, make decisions, and interact with enterprise systems in real time. The platform also introduces enhanced governance controls, including automated policy enforcement and kill-switch capabilities for rogue or non-compliant AI agents.
The company also announced expanded strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Nvidia to strengthen AI governance across enterprise ecosystems. Through its deeper integration with Microsoft Agent 365, ServiceNow aims to extend AI governance across Azure-backed Foundry, Copilot Studio, and broader enterprise agent environments.
The move reflects a growing enterprise focus on AI accountability, compliance, and operational transparency as organizations increasingly deploy autonomous AI systems across workflows and business operations. Enterprises are now prioritizing governance frameworks capable of monitoring AI behavior continuously rather than relying on static compliance models or periodic audits.
With enterprises rapidly adopting agentic AI systems, the expansion of AI Control Tower signals ServiceNow’s broader ambition to become a central orchestration and governance layer for enterprise AI operations at scale.
