ServiceNow has completed its acquisition of Armis in a deal valued at approximately $7.75 billion, marking the largest transaction in the company’s history and a significant expansion of its AI-led security strategy.

The acquisition brings Armis’ cyber exposure management capabilities into ServiceNow’s platform, enabling real-time visibility and protection across a wide range of connected assets, including cloud systems, IoT devices, and operational technology environments.

At the core of the deal is a long-standing gap in enterprise security between identifying risks and acting on them. Armis strengthens ServiceNow’s ability to continuously monitor assets and assess vulnerabilities, while the broader platform enables automated remediation and workflow-driven responses.

The integration builds on ServiceNow’s recent acquisition of identity security firm Veza, positioning the combined platform as a more comprehensive solution for managing access, assets, and risk in increasingly complex AI-driven environments.

Strategically, the move reflects a shift toward unified AI platforms that combine infrastructure visibility, identity intelligence, and automation into a single operational layer. As enterprises deploy more AI systems and connected devices, the need for centralized oversight and governance is becoming a priority.

Beyond expanding its cybersecurity footprint, the deal signals ServiceNow’s broader ambition to evolve from workflow automation into a full-scale AI control layer for enterprise operations. The addition of Armis enhances its ability to manage both pre-breach and post-breach scenarios, particularly as AI agents expand the enterprise attack surface.

The transaction also comes amid continued investment in AI infrastructure across the industry, even as market conditions remain volatile. For ServiceNow, the acquisition underscores a long-term bet that security, automation, and AI governance will converge into a single platform category.
