Salesforce has promoted Sarah Caporusso to Vice President, Trailblazer Ecosystem Marketing, expanding her leadership responsibilities across one of the company's most important global communities.

In her new role, Sarah will lead marketing for Trailhead, the Trailblazer Community, and Salesforce's global Admin, Developer, and Architect audiences, bringing together the programs and communities that support the people building, managing, and innovating on the Salesforce platform.

The promotion marks another step in Sarah's 13-year journey with Salesforce and places her at the center of the company's efforts to engage and grow its global ecosystem of technology professionals.

Leading Marketing Across the Trailblazer Ecosystem

Sarah's expanded remit spans a broad community of Salesforce professionals, from administrators and developers to architects and learners using Trailhead to build new skills.

Her focus will be on strengthening the connection between these audiences and Salesforce's broader ecosystem, while continuing to create experiences that help professionals learn, connect, and advance their careers.

The role also brings together marketing across Trailhead and the Trailblazer Community, two important parts of Salesforce's ecosystem strategy.

A Leadership Journey Built Over 13 Years

Sarah's promotion comes after more than a decade at Salesforce, where she has built her career across different roles and teams.

Reflecting on the journey, she credited the mentors, managers, leaders, and colleagues who challenged her, pushed her beyond her comfort zone, and helped shape her career.

In her own words, "the best careers are shaped by the people around us."

She specifically recognized leaders including Kris Lande, Christophe Coenraets, Sarah Franklin, Dan Darcy, Kendall Collins, Jane Hynes, Daylan Burlison, Ashish Patel, Elise Bergeron, and Steve Loughlin for the role they played in her professional development.

That emphasis on people also extends to the teams she has worked with throughout her Salesforce career, which Sarah described as both talented and kind.

Putting the Community at the Center

The Trailblazer Community remains central to Sarah's new mandate.

Salesforce's ecosystem includes millions of professionals who use its platform, build solutions, develop technical skills, and contribute to the broader community. For Sarah, the human side of that ecosystem remains particularly important.

Her message to the Trailblazer Community reinforces that perspective: "It's always been about the people."

That philosophy is likely to remain an important part of her approach as she takes responsibility for marketing across Trailhead, the community, and Salesforce's global technical audiences.

Looking Ahead

As AI continues reshaping the technology landscape, the role of technical communities and continuous learning is becoming increasingly important.

For Salesforce, engaging administrators, developers, architects, and other Trailblazers means supporting an ecosystem that is continuously adapting to new technologies and changing customer expectations.

Sarah's expanded role puts her at the intersection of marketing, learning, community engagement, and technology adoption as Salesforce continues building the next generation of its ecosystem.

After 13 years with the company, her next chapter is not simply about taking on a larger title. It is about helping strengthen the community that has been central to Salesforce's growth and identity.
