Stord has appointed Mark Wayland as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing senior enterprise technology and go-to-market experience to a role spanning Marketing, Sales and Solutions.

Mark joins Stord following senior leadership experience at Salesforce and Box, after taking time away from full-time work following his departure from Box last year.

His return comes as Stord continues to develop its technology-enabled approach to fulfillment, combining logistics infrastructure with software, agentic AI and robotics to help brands improve the delivery experience.

Leading Marketing, Sales and Solutions

As Chief Revenue Officer, Mark will lead Stord's Marketing, Sales and Solutions functions, bringing the company's go-to-market organisation together under one leadership remit.

The role places him at the centre of how Stord positions its offering, engages customers and translates its technology and logistics capabilities into commercial growth.

Mark's background across enterprise technology companies gives him experience working with organisations navigating complex technology buying decisions and building scalable commercial relationships.

Connecting the Purchase to the Porch

A central part of Mark's rationale for joining Stord is the changing importance of the delivery experience.

For online brands, the customer relationship does not end when a purchase is made. The time between checkout and delivery can increasingly influence customer satisfaction, brand perception and repeat purchasing.

Stord is building around that shift by combining physical fulfillment infrastructure with software and automation designed to help brands improve how products move from warehouse to customer.

Mark sees that combination as a significant market opportunity as consumers increasingly expect faster and more reliable delivery experiences.

Combining Software, AI and Logistics

Stord describes its approach as a technology-driven fulfillment platform, bringing together logistics operations with software, automation and AI.

The company has invested in technology designed to provide greater visibility and control across fulfillment and supply chain operations, while using automation and robotics to improve efficiency.

The combination is particularly relevant as brands look for alternatives to building complex fulfillment infrastructure themselves while maintaining greater control over the customer experience.

For Mark, the opportunity lies in helping translate those capabilities into a compelling proposition for brands seeking to improve their purchase-to-porch experience.

Enterprise Experience From Salesforce and Box

Mark's decision to join Stord follows leadership experiences at Salesforce and Box, two companies that shaped his approach to enterprise technology and company culture.

He said culture was his number one priority when considering his next role after leaving Box.

His conversations with Stord CEO Sean Henry, along with Steve Swan and Jacob Boudreau, helped convince him that the company was the right fit.

That emphasis on team and culture is paired with a commercial background that will now be applied to Stord's next phase of growth.

Building the Next Phase of Growth

Stord has assembled teams across software, logistics and technology as it works to address the growing complexity of modern fulfillment.

Mark's expanded commercial remit will focus on bringing those capabilities to more brands while strengthening the company's relationships with customers and partners.

The opportunity comes at a time when supply chain technology is increasingly moving beyond basic visibility and tracking toward intelligent automation, predictive decision-making and AI-enabled operations.

Back in the Saddle

Mark described his time away from work as a period of slowing down and reassessing what he wanted from his next chapter. After conversations with recruiters, investors and companies across the market, he chose Stord.

He said he is now ready to return to work and is looking forward to meeting Stord's employees, customers and partners.

His arrival adds experienced enterprise go-to-market leadership to Stord as the company works to connect technology, logistics and customer experience in a market where the final delivery increasingly forms part of the brand itself.
