Nutanix Announces Dell PowerStore Support for Nutanix Cloud Platform with NCI 7.6

Nutanix has announced the availability of Dell PowerStore for Nutanix Cloud Platform with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) 7.6, extending enterprise storage capabilities for organisations running Nutanix AHV environments.

The announcement expands the long-standing collaboration between Nutanix and Dell Technologies, giving customers access to Dell PowerStore's enterprise-grade NVMe all-flash storage while continuing to manage their environments through Nutanix Prism. The integration is designed to deliver high-performance storage alongside the operational simplicity that Nutanix customers already rely on.

Enterprise Storage Integrated with Nutanix Prism

With Dell PowerStore now supporting Nutanix Cloud Platform, IT teams can provision storage, create snapshots and clones, and expand virtual hard disks directly through Nutanix Prism.

The native integration means organisations can continue using familiar Nutanix management tools without introducing additional storage management platforms or requiring new administrative skills, helping simplify day-to-day infrastructure operations.

Delivering Performance, Flexibility and Data Efficiency

Dell PowerStore brings end-to-end NVMe all-flash storage performance to Nutanix environments, supporting mission-critical databases, enterprise applications, and data-intensive analytics workloads.

The solution also enables independent scaling of compute and storage resources, allowing organisations to expand Dell PowerEdge compute nodes or increase PowerStore storage capacity separately based on workload requirements. PowerStore's Dynamic Resiliency Engine further provides granular storage expansion one drive at a time.

Dell Private Cloud Completes the Platform

Alongside the new storage integration, Dell Private Cloud provides automated AHV deployment using validated blueprints, full-stack lifecycle management, and Dell system-level hardware support.

According to a recent Technical First Look from Omdia, Dell Private Cloud enables organisations to deploy workload-ready clusters in approximately 2.5 hours, reducing deployment complexity by more than 90 percent compared with traditional manual deployment approaches.

Together, Dell PowerStore and Dell Private Cloud provide customers with a validated infrastructure foundation for running Nutanix Cloud Platform while maintaining operational flexibility.
