NTT DATA Announces Intent to Acquire WinWire to Accelerate Enterprise AI Adoption

NTT DATA has announced its intent to acquire WinWire, an award-winning Microsoft partner specializing in agentic AI, AI on Azure, data engineering, and cloud-native development. The move is aimed at strengthening NTT DATA’s enterprise AI strategy and accelerating large-scale AI transformation initiatives for customers globally.

The acquisition comes as enterprises increasingly move beyond AI experimentation toward operational deployment of production-ready AI systems. By integrating WinWire’s Microsoft-focused expertise with NTT DATA’s global scale and managed services capabilities, the company aims to accelerate secure and scalable enterprise AI adoption across industries.

According to the announcement, WinWire brings more than 1,000 Azure engineers and Microsoft specialists with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, cloud-native development, and enterprise data transformation.

The acquisition will further strengthen NTT DATA’s Global Business Unit for Microsoft Cloud, which currently supports enterprise transformation initiatives across more than 50 countries and is backed by over 24,000 Microsoft certifications globally.

The deal also deepens NTT DATA’s strategic relationship with Microsoft as organizations increasingly seek AI-native and cloud-driven modernization solutions.
