Aircall Acquires Vogent to Expand AI Voice Agent Tech

Article content
Aircall has announced the acquisition of Vogent, an AI voice agent company focused on production-grade conversational voice infrastructure, as the company deepens its investment in AI-powered customer communications.
The acquisition strengthens the technology stack behind Aircall’s AI Voice Agent platform by integrating Vogent’s expertise in advanced speech models, interruption handling, conversational flow routing, and latency management. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The move reflects a broader industry shift toward specialized voice AI systems as enterprises look beyond chatbot-based automation and focus on production-ready voice experiences. Unlike text-based AI interactions, voice AI requires real-time responsiveness, conversational timing, seamless turn-taking, and high reliability during live customer conversations.
According to Aircall, the acquisition will help businesses deploy more reliable AI voice agents without requiring specialized technical expertise. The enhanced platform is expected to improve automation for repetitive customer calls, inbound qualification workflows, escalation handling, and customer support interactions.
Scott Chancellor, CEO of Aircall, said the company has always focused on improving customer conversations and sees specialized voice AI as a critical differentiator rather than an add-on feature. He noted that voice AI becomes significantly more valuable when built by organizations that understand the complexity of voice communications at scale.
Founded in San Francisco, Vogent built its platform around custom voice AI pipelines designed for enterprise-grade phone interactions. The company focused heavily on conversation reliability, interruption management, and low-latency voice processing to help businesses move beyond demo-stage AI implementations into production environments.
Vogent CEO Jagath Vytheeswaran stated that joining Aircall provides an opportunity to scale the company’s technology across a significantly larger customer base. Vogent’s leadership team and engineering talent will now become part of Aircall’s growing AI organization.
The acquisition also strengthens Aircall’s expanding AI footprint across major technology hubs including San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. The company currently supports more than 22,000 businesses globally through its AI-powered communications platform spanning voice, SMS, and WhatsApp workflows.
The announcement highlights growing enterprise demand for AI-native customer communication platforms capable of balancing automation with reliability and conversational quality. As voice AI adoption accelerates, specialized infrastructure and operational performance are increasingly becoming competitive differentiators in the contact center and customer experience market.
