Motive has appointed Andrew Bennett as Chief Marketing Officer, adding experienced marketing leadership as the company expands its AI platform for physical operations and strengthens its global growth strategy.

Bennett will lead Motive’s global marketing organisation, overseeing brand, demand generation, communications and product marketing. He will also join the company’s executive leadership team.

His appointment comes as Motive builds on its strongest quarter to date, with annual recurring revenue surpassing $600 million and year-over-year growth reaching 30%. Bringing enterprise marketing experience

Bennett brings more than two decades of experience across marketing and sales leadership, with a background in building technology brands and scaling commercial organisations.

Before joining Motive, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Elementum, an AI workflow orchestration platform, and Conga, a commercial operations technology company.

Earlier, he spent a decade at Smartsheet, where he built the demand generation function, led commercial sales and subsequently became Chief Marketing Officer. His time at Smartsheet included the company's journey through its initial public offering.

This combination of brand development, demand generation and commercial leadership is relevant to Motive’s ambition to expand its reach across enterprise markets.

Sharpening Motive’s AI story

Motive develops AI-powered technology for organisations that manage vehicles, equipment, workers and other aspects of physical operations.

Its platform supports use cases across driver safety, fleet management, maintenance, spend management and workforce operations. The company’s focus is on helping customers improve safety, increase productivity and reduce operational costs.

Bennett’s remit will include making the value of these capabilities clearer to customers and strengthening how Motive communicates its position in the market.

As AI becomes more central to physical operations, communicating the connection between technology and measurable business outcomes is an important part of enterprise marketing.

Building on a period of growth

Motive’s leadership appointment follows a strong period for the business. The company reported annual recurring revenue above $600 million and year-over-year growth of 30%.

In September 2026, Motive also secured more than $1.3 billion in growth financing from General Catalyst to support product innovation, AI development and go-to-market expansion. <Cite refs={["turn375859search1","turn293680view0"]}/>

The company is investing in its ability to serve some of the world’s largest and most complex organisations. Bennett’s appointment adds marketing leadership as Motive looks to translate its product development and customer momentum into broader market awareness and enterprise adoption.

Connecting marketing with global go-to-market execution

Bennett will lead marketing across brand, demand generation, communications and product marketing, bringing these functions together under one leadership remit.

For enterprise technology companies, these areas play complementary roles: brand establishes market positioning, product marketing communicates differentiated value, communications builds awareness, and demand generation supports customer acquisition.

At Motive, the combined remit is intended to help the company communicate its AI capabilities more clearly while supporting its expansion across customer segments and geographies.

Supporting Motive’s next phase

Bennett joins Motive as the company continues to develop AI for the businesses that keep goods moving and physical operations running.

His experience across enterprise marketing, commercial sales and high-growth technology companies provides a foundation for the next stage of Motive’s marketing strategy.

As the company expands its AI platform and pursues larger enterprise opportunities, his role will be to sharpen the company’s story, strengthen its global marketing engine and connect its technology proposition with the needs of customers.
