New Era Technology has appointed Norman Guadagno as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing an experienced technology marketing leader into a full-time role focused on strengthening the company's brand, messaging and growth engine.

Norman joins New Era after spending the past two years working as a fractional CMO, a path he initially expected to continue for the remainder of his career. His transition to New Era grew out of an existing consulting relationship with the company and an opportunity to help shape its marketing strategy from the inside.

From Fractional CMO to Full-Time Marketing Leadership

Norman's journey to New Era began nearly a year ago when Greg Callahan introduced him to Waheed Choudhry, who was looking for fractional marketing support.

Norman initially worked with New Era on its sales kickoff and broader messaging. As he gained a deeper understanding of the company's work and the value it delivers to clients, he saw an opportunity to address a different challenge: building greater visibility around the New Era brand.

That experience ultimately led to conversations with Waheed Choudhry and CEO Dave Hart about joining the company full-time.

Building a Next-Generation Marketing Engine

As CMO, Norman will focus on developing a stronger marketing engine for New Era Technology, with responsibilities spanning brand visibility, messaging, go-to-market strategy and broader marketing execution.

His early work with the company gave him a close view of its customer value proposition, while his experience as a fractional marketing leader has given him exposure to different business models, growth challenges and marketing organizations.

The combination positions him to bring an outside perspective while building deeper alignment with New Era's leadership and marketing teams.

Strengthening the New Era Brand

Norman's decision to join was influenced in part by what he saw as a gap between the value New Era delivers to customers and the visibility of its brand in the broader market.

That creates a clear opportunity for the new CMO: sharpen the company's narrative, strengthen its market presence and create a marketing organization capable of communicating its capabilities more effectively.

He will work alongside Jackie Edwards and the existing marketing team as the company develops this next phase.

A Career Shift Built on Relationships

Norman's move also reflects the importance of relationships in his career transition.

He credited Greg Callahan for making the initial introduction, while conversations with Waheed, Dave and the wider New Era team ultimately convinced him that the company represented a unique opportunity.

He also thanked his colleagues and clients from TechCXO, where he spent the previous two years operating in the fractional model, noting the value the experience brought to his own development as a marketer.

Looking Ahead

Norman joins New Era Technology with a clear mandate to help build the company's next-generation marketing engine.

His transition from fractional CMO to full-time CMO also reflects a broader evolution in how companies access senior marketing talent, combining flexible leadership models with the need for dedicated executives as businesses reach new stages of growth.

For New Era, the focus now shifts toward translating its customer value into a stronger brand, sharper market positioning and a more scalable marketing organization.
