Louis Widmer SA has appointed Hanne Langmoen as Chief Marketing Officer and a member of its Executive Management Team, marking a new chapter in the marketing leadership of the Swiss skincare company.
Hanne shared the appointment earlier this month, highlighting Louis Widmer's combination of family ownership, pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing and long-standing international presence as key factors behind her decision to join the company.
Joining Louis Widmer's Executive Management Team
As Chief Marketing Officer, Hanne joins Louis Widmer's Executive Management Team at a company with more than six decades of experience in skincare.
Her appointment places marketing leadership within a business that combines consumer skincare with a strong pharmaceutical heritage, with products developed and manufactured in-house at the company's site near Zurich.
Building on a Swiss Skincare Heritage
Louis Widmer was founded near Zurich in 1960 and remains a family-owned company now in its third generation.
The company has built an international presence around skincare products developed according to pharmaceutical standards and in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
For Hanne, that combination of family ownership and pharmaceutical rigour was an important part of the company's appeal.
A Focus on Skin Longevity
Hanne's announcement also highlighted Louis Widmer's long-standing focus on what the company describes as Skin Longevity.
She pointed to the company's emphasis on prevention and healthy skin rather than the pursuit of eternal youth, connecting the philosophy to a broader interest in healthy ageing and longevity.
That positioning gives her new marketing role a strong connection to the company's heritage, product philosophy and relationship with consumers.
Connecting Purpose With Consumer Marketing
Hanne described the opportunity as one where she can contribute to a purpose she personally connects with, particularly around helping people care for their skin and feel good in it.
Her appointment therefore brings together marketing leadership with a company whose positioning is closely tied to long-term skin health and care.
A New Chapter at Louis Widmer
Hanne thanked Annemarie Widmer and the Board for the trust placed in her and said she looks forward to working with the Louis Widmer team and making a difference in the lives of more consumers.
Her arrival comes as the third-generation family company continues to build on its Swiss heritage and established international presence.
