Article content
KnowBe4 has appointed Kurt Mills as Channel Chief, strengthening the company's global channel leadership as it increases investment in its partner ecosystem and partner-led growth strategy.
In the newly created role, Kurt will lead the evolution of KnowBe4's global partner programmes, channel operations, and routes to market, with responsibility for strengthening relationships across value-added resellers, managed service providers, systems integrators, distributors, and technology partners.
His appointment brings more than 25 years of channel leadership experience to KnowBe4 as the company looks to expand its market reach through a broader and more deeply engaged partner network.
Building the Global Partner Strategy
Kurt's mandate will centre on developing teams, programmes, strategy, and channel routes to market that support KnowBe4's broader growth objectives.
His experience includes senior channel and partner sales leadership positions at Check Point Software Technologies, Mimecast, FireMon, and Blue Coat Systems, where he worked across partner strategy, business expansion, and channel development.
At KnowBe4, he will focus on creating programmes and enablement initiatives that help partners identify new opportunities and generate greater value for customers.
Expanding Partner-Led Growth
The appointment comes as channel partners play an increasingly important role in helping organisations respond to evolving cybersecurity risks.
KnowBe4 is expanding its focus beyond traditional security awareness to address human risk management, AI-driven threats, and the security challenges associated with AI agents.
A stronger partner ecosystem can help the company extend its reach across different customer segments and markets while providing partners with additional capabilities to address changing security requirements.
Strengthening Channel Leadership
Kurt's appointment follows other additions to KnowBe4's channel leadership organisation, including Neill Burton and John Noha, who serve as vice presidents of channel.
Together, the expanded leadership structure is intended to strengthen KnowBe4's ability to support partners with programmes, resources, tools, and enablement.
The approach reflects a broader effort to make the channel a central component of KnowBe4's go-to-market strategy.
Scaling the Partner Ecosystem
Kurt has built his career around developing channel organisations and aligning partner programmes with wider business objectives.
At KnowBe4, his focus will include deepening relationships across VARs, MSPs, systems integrators, distributors, and technology partners while establishing measurable programmes designed around mutual growth.
The role also gives him responsibility for evolving the company's channel routes to market as KnowBe4 expands internationally.
Supporting KnowBe4's Next Phase
The appointment gives KnowBe4 dedicated leadership for its global channel strategy at a time when the cybersecurity market is becoming increasingly complex.
Organisations are dealing with social engineering, AI-driven threats, and new risks created by the rapid adoption of generative and agentic AI.
KnowBe4's partner network will be an important route for helping organisations navigate these challenges, while Kurt's experience in building high-performing channel teams will support the company's efforts to scale its partner-led model.
Looking Ahead
With Kurt Mills taking on the Channel Chief role, KnowBe4 is putting additional leadership focus behind its global partner ecosystem.
His mandate spans channel strategy, partner programmes, operations, enablement, and routes to market, positioning the channel organisation as an important driver of the company's next phase of growth.
The appointment reinforces KnowBe4's broader investment in partnerships as it works to help organisations secure both human users and AI agents against an evolving threat landscape.
