Article content
NextSilicon has appointed Kristin Owens as Chief Marketing Officer, adding an experienced marketing leader as the company continues to expand its position across high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
Kristin joins NextSilicon from Check Point Software Technologies, where she served as Vice President of Field & Partner Marketing. Her career also includes marketing leadership roles at Cerebras Systems, KPMG, Supermicro, Avnet, and Intel Corporation, giving her experience across semiconductor, infrastructure and enterprise technology markets.
Her appointment comes as NextSilicon continues to scale its technology portfolio and strengthen its global market presence.
Leading Global Marketing
As Chief Marketing Officer, Kristin will lead NextSilicon's global marketing efforts, spanning brand building, customer engagement and market development.
The role places marketing alongside the company's broader technology expansion as NextSilicon works to communicate its proposition to customers and partners across increasingly complex AI and HPC environments.
For a technology company operating at the intersection of advanced computing architecture, AI infrastructure and high-performance workloads, building market understanding is becoming increasingly important as customers evaluate alternatives to conventional computing approaches.
Bringing Semiconductor and Technology Experience
Kristin brings a career spanning marketing leadership across several major technology and semiconductor organisations.
Her experience at Check Point, Cerebras Systems, Supermicro, Avnet and Intel has covered environments where technical differentiation, partner ecosystems and enterprise customer relationships are central to growth.
That background will be relevant to NextSilicon as it continues to build awareness around its computing architecture and engage customers across HPC, AI and other computationally intensive workloads.
Supporting NextSilicon's AI and HPC Expansion
Kristin's appointment comes during an important period for NextSilicon's product roadmap.
The company's Maverick-2 Intelligent Compute Architecture is designed for AI and HPC workloads, using a software-defined dataflow approach that dynamically adapts to application requirements. NextSilicon says Maverick-2 is already in production at customer sites across HPC, AI and national security computing environments.
NextSilicon is also advancing its Arbel RISC-V processor roadmap. In June 2026, the company announced plans to productize Arbel into 64-core and 128-core enterprise processors targeted at AI and HPC applications, with availability expected in early 2028.
Building the Next Phase of the Brand
The marketing mandate therefore extends beyond traditional brand activity.
As NextSilicon expands its technology portfolio, Kristin will help translate the company's technical capabilities into a clearer market proposition for customers, partners and the broader technology ecosystem.
Her experience across semiconductor and enterprise technology companies provides a combination of industry knowledge and marketing leadership that can support the company's next phase of growth.
A Strategic Addition to the Leadership Team
Kristin's appointment adds senior marketing leadership at a time when the AI and HPC infrastructure markets are undergoing significant change.
With NextSilicon continuing to develop Maverick-2 and Arbel while expanding its global customer and partner relationships, the company will need to communicate its technology differentiation clearly across a competitive computing landscape.
Kristin's new role positions her at the centre of that effort, helping NextSilicon strengthen its global marketing presence as it continues to develop its AI and HPC business.
