Harriet Durnford-Smith has joined Vortexa as Chief Marketing Officer, taking on a leadership role as the company continues to expand its presence in global energy and commodities markets.

In this role, Harriet will lead marketing strategy and execution, focusing on strengthening go-to-market capabilities and supporting commercial growth. Her appointment comes as Vortexa scales its platform, which delivers real-time data and analytics to support decision-making across complex global supply chains.

Harriet joins from Adverity, where she served as Chief Operating Officer after previously holding roles as Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Marketing and Growth. During her tenure, she contributed to scaling the company’s integrated data platform and advancing its market positioning.

Prior to Adverity, Harriet was Marketing Director at Amido, following earlier roles as Senior Marketing and Communications Manager. She also held marketing leadership positions at Bright Innovation UK and Buzzacott. Her early career included roles across marketing, communications, and events at Ampersand, Macquarie Group, ASM Global, and Greenwich Inc..

Her appointment reflects Vortexa’s focus on building a more integrated marketing and growth function as it continues to scale in a data-driven, highly competitive sector. With experience spanning both operational leadership and marketing, Harriet is positioned to support the company’s next phase of expansion.
