Guilherme Almeida Takes on Global Marketing for Energy, Resources and Engineering at Wipro

Article content
Guilherme Almeida has taken on an expanded global marketing role at Wipro, moving from his previous Brazil-focused responsibilities to lead marketing for the company's Energy, Natural Resources & Utilities and Engineering, Construction & Operations businesses globally.
The change marks a new chapter in Guilherme's seven-year journey with Wipro, expanding his remit across two major industry segments and giving him a broader global mandate.
Expanding Global Marketing Responsibilities
In his new role, Guilherme will lead global marketing efforts across Energy, Natural Resources & Utilities and Engineering, Construction & Operations, supporting Wipro's engagement with clients and stakeholders across these industries.
The expanded remit brings together marketing strategy, industry positioning and global market engagement across sectors undergoing significant technology and business transformation.
Energy and natural resources companies are navigating shifts in sustainability, digital operations and automation, while engineering, construction and operations organizations continue investing in connected technologies, data and AI to improve productivity and execution.
A New Chapter at Wipro
Guilherme described the move as a change in his Wipro journey rather than a departure from the company. After seven years with the organization, he is now taking on a broader global mandate while leaving behind his responsibility for Brazil.
Using a playful reference to the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, Guilherme joked that he had moved from "Green Hill Zone" to "Chemical Plant", reflecting the shift into a new and more complex chapter of his career.
The expanded responsibility reflects the depth of experience he has built within Wipro and the company's continued focus on industry-led marketing.
Looking Ahead
With global responsibility across two industry groups, Guilherme will be focused on strengthening Wipro's marketing presence and supporting business growth across international markets.
The role also creates an opportunity to connect industry-specific challenges with Wipro's broader technology capabilities as organizations across energy, engineering, construction and operations accelerate their adoption of digital technologies.
Guilherme thanked Ranjita Ghosh, Rashi Bajaj, Naveen Blazey and Deepak Parameswaran for their trust and warm welcome as he begins the new chapter.
