Fortinet Appoints Luca Simonelli as Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific

Fortinet has appointed Luca Simonelli as Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific (APAC), strengthening its regional leadership as demand for cybersecurity, AI-driven security operations, and cloud-native protection continues to grow across the region.
Based in Singapore, Luca will lead Fortinet's Asia Pacific sales organization, overseeing the company's business across Japan, North Asia, South Asia (including Southeast Asia, India & SAARC), Australia, and New Zealand.
Leading Fortinet's Next Phase of Regional Growth
In his new role, Luca will be responsible for driving Fortinet's regional strategy, strengthening customer and partner relationships, and accelerating business growth across one of the world's fastest-growing cybersecurity markets.
His appointment comes as organizations throughout Asia Pacific continue investing in cyber resilience, cloud transformation, secure networking, and AI-enabled security platforms to address increasingly sophisticated threat landscapes.
Bringing Three Decades of Global Technology Leadership
Luca joins Fortinet with more than 30 years of international technology leadership experience, spanning cybersecurity, networking, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), cloud security, managed services, and enterprise transformation.
Before joining Fortinet, he held a senior leadership role at GCX Managed Services. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President – EMEA at Cato Networks, where he helped drive regional expansion and supported enterprise customers through complex digital transformation initiatives.
His extensive experience leading global teams and scaling enterprise technology businesses positions him well to guide Fortinet's continued growth across the diverse APAC market.
