Salesforce has promoted Erin Oles to President and Chief Marketing Officer, expanding her leadership mandate to oversee the company's global marketing organization across brand, product marketing, communications and events.

Erin joined Salesforce five years ago to lead brand experiences and events. In her expanded role, she will oversee a broader global marketing function, including Dreamforce, Salesforce's flagship annual conference.

Expanding Her Leadership Mandate

Erin's promotion brings together several core areas of Salesforce's global marketing organization under her leadership, spanning brand building, product marketing, communications and major customer experiences.

Her experience leading brand experiences and events at Salesforce gives her a strong understanding of how the company engages customers and the wider technology community at scale.

The expanded mandate comes as Salesforce continues positioning itself at the center of the enterprise AI transformation, with its marketing organization playing a critical role in communicating the company's evolving platform and product strategy.

Bringing Experience in Scaled Customer Engagement

Before joining Salesforce, Erin spent nearly nine years at Rodan + Fields, where she helped develop and launch R+F Live, using livestreaming to take product launches beyond physical events and reach a significantly larger audience.

The strategy generated more than $100 million in additional revenue, highlighting her experience in connecting brand experiences with measurable commercial outcomes.

That combination of experiential marketing, digital engagement and commercial thinking now becomes part of her broader remit at Salesforce.

Leading Brand, Product and Communications

As President and CMO, Erin will bring together brand and product storytelling with communications and customer experiences, helping Salesforce maintain a consistent narrative across its global marketing ecosystem.

The role also places her at the helm of one of the world's most visible enterprise technology marketing organizations, with Dreamforce serving as a major platform for engaging customers, partners, developers and the broader Salesforce community.

Looking Ahead

Erin's elevation marks a significant expansion from her previous focus on brand experiences and events into a company-wide marketing leadership role.

With experience spanning experiential marketing, digital engagement and revenue-focused customer initiatives, she is positioned to shape Salesforce's next phase of global marketing as the company continues navigating the rapid evolution of enterprise AI.
