Eric Toda Joins Air as Chief Marketing Officer

Air has appointed Eric Toda as its first Chief Marketing Officer, bringing a track record of building digital, brand and commercial growth engines across some of the world's most recognized technology and consumer brands. Air's CEO Shane Hegde described Toda as the marketing leader for the company's next chapter as it relaunches around an AI-native approach to creative work.
Eric brings experience from Meta, Airbnb, Nike, Snapchat and Gap Inc., spanning digital brand strategy, social marketing, product marketing, partnerships, customer acquisition and commercial transformation. His career has included leadership roles at Meta and Airbnb, as well as marketing and partnerships work at Snapchat and digital brand leadership at Nike.
Leading Marketing for Air's AI-Native Shift
Eric joins Air at a significant point in the company's evolution. Air is repositioning its business around AI-native creative tasks, with the company moving beyond its traditional SaaS positioning toward an environment designed to help teams work with AI agents on creative workflows.
As CMO, Eric will lead the company's marketing and positioning as Air communicates this shift to the market. His background in translating complex technology into compelling brand and growth strategies positions him to help Air articulate the commercial value of AI-powered creative work.
From Global Brands to AI-Native Marketing
Eric's career has consistently sat at the intersection of technology, culture and growth. At Airbnb, he led global digital brand strategy during a period of rapid expansion, while at Nike he worked across major global sports categories. At Snapchat, he helped develop product marketing and partnership strategies as the platform expanded its advertising business.
At Meta, Eric served as Global Head of Social Marketing and led Meta Prosper, while also contributing to the company's broader brand and digital evolution. His experience includes helping lead the transition from Facebook to Meta, giving him first-hand experience of the marketing challenge involved in repositioning a major technology platform.
Building the Next Growth Engine
Eric's mandate at Air comes as the creative industry enters another major technology transition. The company already connects creative workflows across design, publishing, video, automation and AI tools, including integrations with platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Shopify, Chrome and Claude through MCP.
His focus will be on turning Air's new AI-native positioning into a clear market narrative, strengthening brand and demand, and building the commercial engine needed to support the company's next phase of growth.
