Diego Teijeiro Ruiz will join H&M Group as Chief Information Officer from 25 May, stepping into a key leadership role as the company continues to strengthen its technology foundation and enhance customer experience across channels.

His appointment comes at a time when retailers are increasingly investing in digital capabilities to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences. In this role, Teijeiro Ruiz will be responsible for aligning technology strategy with business goals, enabling more agile operations and improved customer engagement.

He brings nearly two decades of experience from Inditex, where he currently serves as Global Chief Data and Analytics Officer. During his tenure, he has held multiple senior leadership roles across data, supply chain, product, and store technology, contributing to the company’s global retail operations.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Mapfre and Deloitte, building a strong foundation in consulting and enterprise systems. Across roles, his focus has remained on simplifying complex systems and ensuring technology investments translate into measurable business outcomes.

His move reflects the growing importance of data and technology leadership in shaping the future of retail.
