DDN appoints Adam Berlew as Chief Marketing Officer

Article content
DDN has appointed Adam Berlew as Chief Marketing Officer, adding an experienced technology marketing leader as the company continues to expand its position in AI infrastructure.
Adam brings experience across cloud, AI, hardware, software and services, with a career spanning marketing, go-to-market and product leadership roles at companies including Equinix, Atlassian, Google Cloud, Broadcom and Dell.
At DDN, he will lead the company's global marketing organisation as it looks to strengthen its brand, accelerate customer acquisition and connect more organisations with infrastructure designed to support AI workloads.
Bringing global technology marketing experience
Adam joins DDN from Equinix, where he most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer.
During his tenure, he led a global marketing organisation focused on brand evolution, awareness, demand generation, pipeline management and AI go-to-market innovation.
His broader career has included leadership across go-to-market, product management and marketing, giving him experience across several layers of the technology buying and adoption cycle.
That background positions him to lead marketing for a company operating at the intersection of enterprise infrastructure and AI.
A marketing mandate focused on AI infrastructure
Adam's appointment comes as AI infrastructure becomes an increasingly important part of enterprise technology strategy.
Organisations moving AI applications from development into production need infrastructure capable of supporting demanding compute, data and storage requirements.
DDN operates in this market, providing data storage and infrastructure technologies designed for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
Adam's remit will include helping communicate DDN's value to organisations navigating these infrastructure requirements while supporting the company's broader growth ambitions.
Strengthening the DDN brand
One of Adam's priorities will be strengthening DDN's global brand as the company continues to build its position in the AI infrastructure market.
Brand leadership in this space increasingly extends beyond awareness. Technology providers also need to communicate how their infrastructure addresses practical challenges around performance, scalability and the transition from AI development to production.
Adam's experience across enterprise technology markets provides a foundation for connecting those technical capabilities with customer needs and broader market positioning.
Accelerating customer acquisition and demand
The CMO role also carries a direct commercial mandate, with DDN highlighting customer acquisition and growth as key priorities.
Adam's previous experience leading demand generation and pipeline management at Equinix gives him a relevant background for connecting marketing activity with measurable commercial outcomes.
At DDN, that will involve working across the global marketing organisation to build demand while helping the company reach organisations investing in AI infrastructure.
Connecting AI from development to production
A central part of DDN's positioning is helping organisations move AI workloads from development environments into production.
That transition can involve significant infrastructure requirements as AI models and applications move from experimentation toward larger-scale deployment.
For DDN, marketing therefore has a role in explaining how infrastructure can support organisations throughout that journey, from early development through to production-scale AI environments.
The next chapter for DDN
Adam's arrival adds senior marketing leadership to DDN as the AI infrastructure market continues to develop.
His combination of experience across cloud, AI, hardware, software and services gives him a broad technology perspective, while his recent CMO role at Equinix brings experience managing global marketing and commercial priorities.
At DDN, his focus will be on bringing those capabilities together to strengthen the brand, support customer growth and help the company reach more organisations building AI at scale.
