Anu Gupta has been elevated to Chief Transformation Officer at Starbucks after previously serving as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Finance.

Anu brings extensive leadership experience across transformation, strategy, operations, finance, governance, and retail growth, with a career spanning some of the world’s leading consumer, retail, technology, and investment organizations.

Alongside her leadership role at Starbucks, Anu also serves on the Board of Directors at H&R Block as Chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee and Member of the Compensation Committee. She is also involved in early-stage venture investments through Factory as an Early Stage VC.

Prior to Starbucks, Anu served as Chief Strategy Officer at Signet Jewelers and earlier as Executive Vice President & Chief Growth Officer at Bed Bath & Beyond, where she led strategic growth and enterprise transformation initiatives.

Her leadership experience also includes roles as Chief Operating Officer at JYVE, Senior Vice President – Strategy and Operations at Target, and Senior Operating Executive at Hellman & Friedman.

As global retail organizations continue adapting to evolving consumer behavior, operational modernization, AI adoption, and business transformation priorities, executive leadership focused on enterprise-wide transformation is becoming increasingly strategic.
