Inflection.io has appointed Andy Mowat as Chief Marketing Officer, with an expanded focus on revenue operations as the company works to reshape how marketing and go-to-market teams operate in an increasingly AI-driven environment.

Andy joins Inflection.io after previously serving as an advisor to the company and brings experience spanning revenue operations, demand generation, and go-to-market strategy.

His new role will bring together marketing and RevOps, reflecting a broader shift toward more integrated GTM functions as AI changes how organisations approach customer engagement and revenue generation.

Bringing Marketing and RevOps Together

As CMO, Andy will focus on building Inflection.io's brand, market presence, and marketing organisation while also bringing his RevOps background into the company's broader GTM strategy.

He has previously led RevOps functions at four unicorns and demand generation at two, giving him experience across multiple stages of high-growth technology companies.

That background will be particularly relevant as businesses rethink traditional marketing operations and look for more connected ways to manage demand, sales, and customer engagement.

Building for an AI-Native GTM Model

Andy joins Inflection.io at a time when AI is rapidly changing the way marketing teams work.

While AI adoption is accelerating, many marketing organisations continue to rely on legacy marketing automation platforms and disconnected workflows that can limit how effectively teams deploy AI.

Inflection.io is positioning its technology as an infrastructure layer for marketing AI agents, enabling teams to build and automate use cases across areas such as account-based marketing, customer advocacy, and events.

For Andy, the opportunity is not simply to add AI to existing marketing processes, but to rethink how GTM functions can operate around AI from the ground up.

A Broader Role for the Modern CMO

Andy's appointment also reflects the changing expectations of the CMO role.

Modern marketing leaders are increasingly expected to work across the entire revenue organisation, connecting demand generation with sales, operations, customer engagement, and broader commercial strategy.

By combining CMO responsibilities with RevOps, Andy will be positioned to bring these functions closer together at Inflection.io.

The approach aligns with his view that marketing needs to integrate more deeply across GTM motions as technology and buyer behaviour evolve.

Building the Inflection.io Brand

Alongside its product and GTM ambitions, Inflection.io will also be looking to strengthen its brand as it develops its position within the emerging category of AI-powered marketing infrastructure.

Andy has experience building technology brands and communities, including his work with Gated and Whispered.

His familiarity with Inflection.io also gives him a strong starting point as he takes on the company's marketing leadership. He has worked with founder Aaron Bird and the wider team for several years, including as an advisor.

Looking Ahead

Andy joins Inflection.io with a mandate that extends beyond traditional marketing leadership.

His combined focus on marketing, RevOps, AI, and GTM strategy positions the company to experiment with new approaches to how marketing organisations are built and operated.

As AI agents become increasingly embedded in go-to-market workflows, Inflection.io is looking to establish itself as part of the infrastructure enabling that transition.

For Andy, the new role represents an opportunity to combine his experience across GTM functions with his interest in AI and help build the next chapter of the company's brand and market presence.
