DXC Technology names three insurtech winners of its 2026 DXC Invitational

DXC Technology has announced the winners of its 2026 DXC Invitational, recognising three startups and scaleups developing technology aimed at some of the insurance industry's ongoing challenges.
The 2026 winners are Kanopi, truuth and LeapForward.ai, with each recognised in a different category spanning insurance customer engagement, digital identity and fraud prevention, and workers' compensation and recovery.
Now in its ninth year, the DXC Invitational is designed to identify late-stage startups and scaleups with market-ready solutions that can improve customer experience, efficiency and compliance across the insurance value chain.
Three approaches to insurance innovation
The three winning companies are addressing different parts of the insurance lifecycle.
Kanopi, winner in the Improving the Insurance Value Chain category, provides a customer communication and engagement platform designed to help insurers deliver clearer and more personalised interactions across policy and claims journeys.
truuth, recognised in the API Integration into the DXC Insurance Software Suite category, focuses on digital identity and fraud detection. Its platform helps organisations verify identities and identify AI-generated and synthetic content associated with emerging fraud risks.
LeapForward.ai, winner in the Workers Compensation, Self-Insurance and Public Liability category, provides a clinically governed AI recovery coaching platform focused on supporting injured workers through recovery and return-to-work journeys.
Together, the winners reflect three distinct areas where technology is increasingly being applied across insurance: customer engagement, trust and fraud prevention, and recovery outcomes.
Tackling AI-generated fraud and digital trust
The recognition for truuth comes as insurers and financial services organisations face increasingly sophisticated forms of digital fraud.
The company focuses on identity verification and fraud detection, including the identification of AI-generated images, documents and other synthetic content.
For insurers, the issue extends beyond preventing individual fraudulent transactions. Digital identity and the ability to establish trust in online interactions are becoming increasingly important as more customer and claims processes move through digital channels.
Using AI to support injured workers
LeapForward.ai is applying AI to another part of the insurance ecosystem, with its platform focused on recovery coaching for injured workers.
The company describes its approach as clinically governed, with an emphasis on supporting wellbeing and return-to-work outcomes.
Its recognition in the workers' compensation, self-insurance and public liability category highlights how insurance innovation is also extending beyond core administration and claims processing into services designed to support people throughout the recovery journey.
Reimagining the customer journey
Kanopi's solution focuses on another longstanding challenge for insurers: maintaining clear and personalised communication across complex customer journeys.
Policy and claims processes can involve multiple interactions between insurers and customers, making communication an important part of the overall experience.
Kanopi was recognised for its approach to customer engagement across these stages, with the DXC Invitational providing an opportunity to explore how its technology could be applied more broadly across the insurance value chain.
Connecting startups with the insurance ecosystem
DXC collaborated with Insurtech Australia and UTS Startups to identify and showcase technology providers with potential applications across the insurance sector.
The program is designed to bring startups and scaleups into direct contact with established insurers, brokers, technology providers and other industry participants.
For emerging technology companies, that creates a route to engage with organisations that have the scale, industry knowledge and customer relationships required to move solutions from development into broader market applications.
From competition to potential collaboration
The three winners will have opportunities to collaborate with DXC globally and explore potential pathways for deploying their solutions across additional markets.
Previous DXC Invitational winners have gone on to work with DXC and its customers worldwide, giving the program a potential role beyond recognition and into commercial and technology collaboration.
For the 2026 cohort, the next stage will be determining how the three solutions can be applied within real insurance environments and where collaboration with DXC and its customers can create practical outcomes.
