Cyera has announced a $400 million investment from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, structured as an extension to its Series G, as the AI and data security company expands its platform for securing enterprise AI and autonomous agents.

The Series G was led by Evolution Equity, with the latest investment accelerating Cyera's efforts to bring data security and identity management together across enterprises.

The funding comes as organizations increasingly deploy AI agents that can access data, use enterprise identities, interact with tools and take actions with limited human intervention.

Building a trust layer for the agentic enterprise

Cyera is positioning its platform around a growing challenge for enterprises: understanding not only where sensitive data resides, but also which people, machines and AI agents can access it and what they can do with that access.

The company describes this as a need for a new security model that brings data and identity together as AI agents become more deeply embedded in enterprise workflows.

Cyera says the investment will support further development of its AI Security product roadmap, while also expanding its presence in the federal market and international markets including EMEA and APAC.

Connecting data security and identity

Cyera has historically focused on data security, and the company is now extending that approach to the autonomous systems interacting with enterprise data.

Its Agent Guardian and Cyera Endpoint capabilities provide visibility into AI-agent activity, including tool calls, database queries and other actions that occur between an agent's initial request and its final output.

The company says its platform can track activity across cloud environments and endpoints where local AI agents are increasingly being used for sensitive work.

The acquisition of Oasis Security adds non-human identity management to this approach, allowing Cyera to connect information about where sensitive data exists with information about which identities and systems can access it.

Addressing AI security as enterprises scale adoption

The investment reflects a broader shift in enterprise cybersecurity as AI systems become more capable and increasingly connected to business-critical information.

Traditional security architectures were largely designed around human users and applications. AI agents introduce another category of actors that can reason, call tools, access information and take actions autonomously.

For security teams, that creates questions around authorization, visibility, governance and accountability.

Cyera's strategy is to provide a unified control layer that can govern access across humans, machines and AI agents rather than treating each category separately.

Supporting product development and global expansion

Cyera says the new capital will support continued investment in its AI Security roadmap as well as expansion into the federal market and international growth across EMEA and APAC.

The company is also building around a broader platform vision in which data security, identity and AI security operate together.

That direction builds on Cyera's existing data security capabilities while extending them into the emerging requirements of agentic enterprise environments.

From data security to AI security

Cyera's latest investment marks another step in the company's evolution from data security toward a broader AI security platform.

The company says enterprises including Paramount, Chipotle and Valvoline use Cyera to control what data AI systems can access and govern what happens afterward. Cyera also states that it is valued at more than $12 billion following the investment.

As enterprises deploy more autonomous systems, the intersection of data access, identity and AI governance is becoming an increasingly important part of the security conversation.

For Cyera, the latest investment provides additional capital to build around that intersection and expand its position in the emerging security requirements of the agentic enterprise.
