Autodesk Rebrands Construction Cloud Platform as Autodesk Forma

Article content
Autodesk has announced that Autodesk Construction Cloud will now operate under the name Autodesk Forma as part of the company’s broader strategy to unify its architecture, engineering, construction, and operations technology ecosystem.
The rebranding reflects Autodesk’s effort to create a more connected platform experience across design, planning, construction, and operational workflows for the AECO industry.
According to Autodesk, Forma is intended to serve as a unified industry cloud that brings together workflows across conceptual design, collaboration, project delivery, and operational intelligence within a single integrated environment.
The move comes as the construction and infrastructure sectors increasingly adopt cloud-based collaboration, AI-driven design workflows, BIM technologies, operational analytics, and connected project management systems to improve efficiency and sustainability outcomes.
Autodesk stated that the Forma platform will continue integrating capabilities from existing Autodesk products while expanding AI-powered insights, sustainability analysis, and real-time collaboration functionalities for architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
The company has been steadily evolving its platform strategy to connect traditionally fragmented workflows across the built environment lifecycle, spanning early-stage design through construction execution and long-term operational management.
Industry analysts view the rebranding as part of Autodesk’s larger push toward platform consolidation and industry cloud positioning as competition intensifies across digital construction, infrastructure technology, and smart building ecosystems.
The transition also highlights the growing demand for unified data environments and connected digital workflows as enterprises modernize infrastructure planning, project delivery, and facility operations globally.
