Winnie Chen-Head Joins WPP Media as CEO of Malaysia

WPP Media has appointed Winnie Chen-Head as Chief Executive Officer for Malaysia, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strengthening leadership and accelerating growth across the Southeast Asian market.
Winnie officially assumed the role on May 6 and brings more than 24 years of experience spanning media, e-commerce, aviation, telecommunications, technology startups, and integrated marketing.
Her appointment reflects WPP Media’s continued focus on driving transformation, innovation, and integrated client solutions across rapidly evolving media and marketing environments. The company highlighted Malaysia as a strategically important growth market where brands continue investing in data-driven media, digital transformation, and customer engagement initiatives.
Prior to rejoining WPP Media, Winnie held leadership positions at Omnicom and Dentsu, alongside previous experience within the WPP network as Head of Product, Strategy & Innovation at Mindshare. Her expertise spans strategy, capability development, operational leadership, and business outcome-driven media transformation.
