Shveta Arya Joins Mahindra Group as Group Chief Strategy Officer

Mahindra Group has appointed Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026, strengthening its senior leadership team as the group continues to pursue growth and long-term value creation across its diverse business portfolio.

Shveta joins Mahindra Group after serving as Managing Director of Cummins India, where she also led the Power Systems Business Unit and was responsible for driving growth and strengthening market presence across power generation and industrial businesses.

Leading Group Strategy

As Group Chief Strategy Officer, Shveta will lead the Group Strategy Office and work across Mahindra's businesses to identify growth opportunities, strengthen value creation and shape long-term strategic priorities.

She will also join the Group Executive Board and become part of the senior management of Mahindra & Mahindra, reporting to Group CEO and Managing Director Anish Shah.

Bringing Cross-Industry Experience

Shveta brings more than two decades of experience spanning automotive, travel, financial services and telecommunications, along with consulting and corporate strategy experience.

Before joining Cummins, she led Strategy and M&A at Thomas Cook India and previously held roles with Kearney and Infosys. At Cummins India, she also previously served as Strategy Leader before taking on broader business leadership responsibilities.

Her experience across strategy, operations and business transformation positions her to bring a broad perspective to Mahindra Group's portfolio of businesses.
